Believe her/Suspect her?

Looks really interesting, actually seeing all the characters involved in this story telling their sides.

Reminds me of a doco series made this year about the murder of a girl that was found in her school's toilet in the north. It was ten years ago and there's a questionable suspect and new revelations about all the investigation. It's a huge story here, very Broadchurch-ish but real. All the country went mad after its broadcast. Her best friend (and a low-key suspect) won our last BB series, actually. It was truly captivating, shame it's not fully subtitled to english, only its extended trailer, if you'd like:

We'll never know the truth, the Italian justice system ****ed up at every turn.

I'm intrigued and might watch it although the trailer makes it look far too biased in Knox's favour, it doesn't look like a balanced account of the case.

It came up in Netflix and I remembered wanting to watch it.
A well made documentary, captivating. It's the first time I'm exposed to the full story and it's quite a twisted one. I don't know if Amanda did it or not (though I think she didn't and it was Guede), but you can't take away from her the fact that she's a brilliant storyteller, which is quite convenient for the matter of this film and the mystery behind her.
Go and watch it!

This case has always creeped me out. I go to the same university Meredith went to and walk past the memorial to her every day, now I'm about to embark on my own exchange programme. :worry: I haven't seen the documentary, I might give it a watch.

I remember being inclined to believe she was innocent... it all sort of stunk of the Italian authorities having international pressure on them to solve the case when they didn't really have enough to go on, so they sort of painted out their own narrative and acted on it.

Guilty or not guilty, there's something strange about her.

I always opted for guilty because she seemed so phoney and false. But I don't know whether it was the American thing of coming across really insincere or her.
