I'm a BIG Hip Hop fan, but not the chavvy R&B brand of Hip Hop.
My favourite bands are Mobb Deep, Wu Tang and Public Enemy. My favourite artists are Tu-Pac, Biggy, Busta Rhymes and Ice Cube.
Old Skool baby.
What are your thoughts are you a co-operator or a playa hater.

I forgot Cypress Hill.
I love the fact that they named their band after the place where they grew up. Question - If you named a band after the place where you grew up what would it be called?
A song i'm absoloutely loving at the moment hip hop wise is:
Stephen Marley Featuring Mos - Hey Baby
What a tune this is.

It's not him it's the people who like his music. I bet if you ask any chav what kind of music they like they'll say R&B and it'd be the Akon type of R&B with completely nonsensical lyrics - 'kick it like tai Bo', what the ******.
It's not the man it's his followers.

Tupac's a clever bloke, one of the best. NWAs good, then Dres (love the chronic) and Ice Cubes solo stuff. Eminems a brilliant lyricist. Snoop dogs Ok. Roots Manuvas great. BIG is Ok. Public Enemys good.
Has anyone heard that Jay - Z tune 'Died In Your Arms' He used a sample off an old track witrh the same title, Its a really good song :cheer:

I like Wu Tang and Public Enemy a lot, but in general Hip Hop isn't really my genre.
If I named my hip hop band after the place I grew up in it would be.... Fencehouses crew, yo.... doesn't work.

True, old skool! 1982 all the way!
I like all the styles of hip hop, westcoast gangsta rap, early 80s (electro/breakdancing), deep smoking underground beats.. Huge!
