This years hopefulls battling it out to represent the UK are reported to be...

Justin Hawkins
Brian Harvey
Liz McClarnon
Big Brovaz
Scooch and a unknown act
Cyndi.

Justin Hawkins seems to be the most popular but who do you think stands the best chance at getting the Uk some points atleast?

Good to see Scooch are back. I always had a thing for the dark haired one Natalie, or is Caroline.

I think whoever we send wont have much have a chance i think justin has the best chance out of the 6 though

Oh no, not Justin Hawkins. I hate him, isn't he in rehab?

Looking at who won last year (costume wise) I think Big Brovaz would do pretty well because they always wear make up and have that odd flare.

Were Big Brovaz the group that sang the Scooby Doo theme tune for the film?

I used to LOVE Scooch and Big Brovaz.

Scooch performed at my friends school once. They rocked.

Justin Hawkins would have best chance

Sam

Agreed. It will be justin as long as his song is mad! If its a slow song then i doubt it.

Looking at who the public think has the best chance and who actually would stand up and be noticed for the right reasons I think is hard. I think it will all come down to whatever song they sign and the catchy song will end up winning.

The UK will never win.
Countries just vote for their neighbours, and we don't have any (apart from Ireland) :bawling:

GlitterEyes
03-03-2007, 02:11 PM
Its silly because we never get thrown out either...with all the money we put into the Eurovision they have to keep the Uk there. Plus with all the war stuff no matter how good our song was...it wouldn't win for political reasons.

Tbh I really don't think that there's any point of the UK entering anymore.
Countries only ever vote for their neighbours:rolleyes:
But it's only for fun really.

But tonight I'm hoping Big Brovas will win. I LOVE them!

Pipergun

I've just watched all of the songs on YouTube, and although I think it's useless for the UK to enter, Big Brovaz should win hands down.

Big Brovaz song is amazing, and they were fantastic live.

I think Big Brovaz's song is the best, but if I had to choose after the performances, I'd be tempted to go for Scooch, as it was really camp and cheesy, but then so is Eurovision!

Scooch/Big Brovaz for me! :spin2:

Arneldo

Big Brozaz were the best by a mile.

But, since your the comeition, i hope Brian Harvey gets it. He was crap.

It's strange, everybody's attitudes and all! Cause if the UK wasn't in, I'd be completely behind Ireland! I admire the way that they're sticking to their roots and entering a traditional song, go for it!

That Scooch song was dreadful."Would sir like some salted nuts".
Hawkins and Brown was too screechy.
Brian Harvey's song was okay but he strained his voice big time.
Liz was dull and mainly out of tune.
Cyndi has a great voice but perhaps the song was a little dull.
Big Brovaz was proably the best and the girls are great singers.

It is a shame that Countries vote for their neighbours.

I would love England to have a better chance this year.

I never miss the show and love watching it. I don't just vote for England, because I am English.

I vote for the song I particularly like.

My best ever Eurovision song, which was actually from Ireland and won as well. Was, (Eimear Quinn - The Voice)

Click on this website link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPSZxPGv7dI

It was a great song and if you loved it, then there is a cd called, "Through the lens of a tear" This album is unreal..

I love it!!

Ermm... nodisharmony... you can't vote England. :puzzled: Haha

Can't believe Scooch and Cindy are through, and not BB.

Hehe, Wogan messed up there - announced the wrong winner. This Scooch winner makes last year's sound like a work of genius. It's a cross between Steps and the Fast Food Rockers.

Nil Point!

Lauren

Lmao I thought Cyndi won, and I was going "nooooo" then they were like 'No wait sorry.. it's Scooch" Haha.

Sam

Scooch. How embarrasing. I'm going to cringe watching this years Eurovision, i dont blame Justin for walking off its completely ridiculous, so it may be a eurovision song, but its really bad and awful and embarrasing. We dont need a cheesy Steps rip off band to do well in eurovision, just look at Pop Idol reject Jessica Garlick who came third in eurovision with a ballad , she was really good. This years going to be disgraceful were going to get 0 again.:rolleyes:

Sam
17-03-2007, 09:11 PM
Cyndi should have walked that it was a really good ballad. Do they really think they are in comparison with last years winners Lordi?

James
17-03-2007, 09:12 PM
The Cyndi ballad sounded like one of Westlife's cast-off, haven't heard the other songs yet, I recorded the first show.

We say that every year with the song, that we might win it, like last year loads of people said Daz would win because it was a rap song, but that wasnt the case. I know its just a game but im sure we can find better people that "Scooch" to represent the UK. What does it say about us as a country? lol

I'm quite shocked Scooch won to be honest. I don't mind them too much, but the song... I dunno.

Anyway, I wish them luck in Eurovision, although I do doubt the UK will win either way. We'll have to see the other countries' entries and make judgements then.

With Scooch representing the UK. It could either be a huge disaster, or a huge success.

Either way, I think we'll be the laughing stock of Europe!

Pipergun
18-03-2007, 06:32 PM
I don't think so, Soph!

Denmark have a transvestite singing for them, wearing a big, sequinned purple dress... Scooch aren't as cringe-worthy as that. At worst, we won't be the only ones, haha!

James
18-03-2007, 09:39 PM
That Steps/ Fast Food Rockers tribute act is going to bomb at Eurovision... really badly.

I liked Hawkins/ Brown best and Big Brovaz next.

Pipergun

GlitterEyes

I thought that they ALL were pretty awful. The only decent one was Cyndi and her voice...and she was French which ruined the whole "UK" thing for me. I expected a bit more of Hawkins considering he was the fave going into the competition but I failed to see what he actually did but pretend to play the guitar and let the woman sing most of the song.

spacebandit
25-03-2007, 11:06 PM
This is a joke right,
Scooch ??????

Piss poor Aqua clones with delusions of being Bucks Fizz,
saw and heard it for the first time on Grahan Norton tonight

Why not just do a cover of "Barbie Girl" and quit the pretence,

I see another Nil Points coming on.

Still, the show is only worth watching to hear terry Wogan rip the pee out of the voting - the one time the man is genuinely funny.

Diablo
25-03-2007, 11:57 PM
Just as well with the political voting that goes on the UK wouldn't be near winning. we'll still blame Scooch though.. LOL

Justin Hawkins was not a happy chappy!! lol

"would you like somthing to suck on for landing sir?"
