Does this vid prove that UKIP is nothing but a conservative construct designed purely to split the vote in the GE and sow the seeds for brexit?...
Look at this you tube video Steve Stanbury implores members to 'come home', I have long thought and stated several times that this might be the case, UKIP were only ever puppets, and they have been used to subvert democracy, I truly believe this will come out as fact in time.

UKIP are a fad, just like the Lib Dems was before them.
I know that UKIP has a lot of ex-Tories in them so you might have a point Kizzy on this issue, it's just hard to say with only circumstantial evidence, if it can even be called that at this point.

It'll go the way of the BNP before long.

I don't doubt that however I believe the BNP are just a rabble, UKIP are different... they have been orchestrated from the outset. I used to find it funny that this oddball sect were given such a huge platform by the media, it all makes sense it was a dupe.
Now the charismatic svengalieque leader is nowhere to be seen and the troops are being called back to base.
Mission accomplished.
Well its not much of a secret that many leading Ukip figures are ex-Tories hence the 'come home' comment
Seems a rather farfetched conspiracy to me. Who exactly amongst the Conservatives would have orchestrated this given that Ukip have been around for 25 years now

^Yeah, and by splitting the vote it just makes your party less likely to win elections.

:clap1::clap1::clap1: And I think it should be on the 'Conspiracy' thread, along with 'Did Aliens Eat Marmite Sarnies whilst constructing the Pyramids at Giza?'

The thing with the best conspiracy theories is they keep being proven as fact.
It may take the 30yr rule to prove but mostly it's worth the wait.

Exactly.
UKIP are a fad, just like the Lib Dems was before them.
The liberals were founded in the 1850's and were the only opposition to the Conservatives until the 1920's .... I'm not sure I would consider them a fad

'Mr Farage has long been the face of Ukip and a regular media performer. One of the most regular panelists in history of the BBC Question Time programme, his ubiquity has at times led to Ukip being branded a “one-man band”.
How strange the BBC thrusting this 'one man band' into prominence... :/

would you rather the BBC had ignored the fact that UKIP exists? Were they fighting the last election at multiple constituencies across the UK. Do they have members of the European parliament. If UKIP decided that Nigel would be their spokesman, it's not for the BBC to say they must choose someone else.
Clutching at straws, really.

Of course not nowhere have I suggested that, however the sheer volume of media attention is surprising for a fringe party.
