If you can't stop yourself from flipping to the horoscopes section on the paper during your morning commute, you might be excited to read you'll have a romantic encounter later that day.

Excited, you'll wait for some tall, dark and handsome stranger to come along - only to be disappointed when they don't.

Well, there could be a very good reason for that (aside from star signs not being real).

Apparently most of us have been looking at the wrong horoscopes.

Why? Because they were set thousands of years ago - and it won't surprise you to know that the Earth has moved since then.

The planet's axis has shifted out of the alignment it held when our ancestors looked up to the night sky and drew out shapes in the stars.

But thankfully the clever people at NASA have worked it out for us.

We're actually about a month out, which means the majority of people will have a different star sign to the one they think they've got.

Wondering what Ophiuchus is? Apparently NASA added this back in.

Ancient astrologers originally had this constellation as part of the zodiac, but decided to ditch it so that the 12 parts divided equally around the Sun, according to Cosmopolitan.

Mine is still the same but has gone from the very tail end of Taurus (Taurus/Gemini cusp) to being smack in the middle of Taurus. Wife's has changed from Cancer to Gemini and, weirdly, is much more accurate :joker:.
