Use the word 'then' in place of 'than'?

I see it so much that it almost makes me question my own grammatical knowledge.It only seems to be on the internet.

Only ever on the internet have I seen the phrase 'I couldn't care less' written as 'I could care less'. The second makes no sense, as it implies you do care.

i think thats an american thing, there are a few similar phrases to that, that they turn into what for me would mean the opposite .... weird :laugh:

I've heard people use the latter loads but I agree, it makes no sense to me at all.

Yeah I echo what other people have said in that it's the American version of that phrase, I've heard it lots on American TV shows
