Both atrocious candidates, but I'd never vote Republican (not least with Trump at the helm) and US politics is even more of a two horse race than it is in Britain, so I'd have no choice but to vote for Hillary

Just watched the debate, how anyone can possibly think of voting for trump after it is delusional :joker:

Hillary by default, she's not a good candidate but she isn't trump so she has that going for her.
How anyone can seriously support Trump after that last debate is beyond me, he rambled like a drunk person and most of what he said was bizarre bare faced lies that anyone could disprove. He spoke more about his investments then his policies.

See, I don't disagree with you about Hillary, but that's exactly why I'd vote for her over Trump. She's the same brand of US political corruption that we've had before. She's not good, she's not going to improve things, but she will keep things ticking over as they are until (hopefully) a much better candidate is available in a future election.
Trump is a complete ****ing wildcard. He is dangerous, he is unpredictable, and he frankly has absolutely no idea what he's doing but is just trundling along doing it anyway, riding on a wave of "the protest vote". A large portion of the US public feel that it's time for a radical change, which it is, but that doesn't mean you just say "**** it!" and vote for whatever/whoever so long as it's "different".

Trump doesnt know the intricacies of the political world and all the corrupt little games they play. That is part of his appeal. He just cuts to the chase. Tax those companies who take american jobs abroad. what else is there to say? discourage them leaving, its pretty simple really. why is clinton and her government allowing this industrial collapse to continue which destroys the middle class white collar workers for generations? I think obama has succeeded as president in some ways...But the underlying bankruptcy of the economy is still there, maybe worse. $20 trillion debt is a staggering amount of money , real wages have stagnated or fallen back, the rich poor divide is as big as ever, and debts will have to be paid off one day. the unemployment rate has fallen, but the employment rate has also fallen which means simply millions of people have simply lost all their benefits and are therefore not counted on the figures as unemployed

I have pretty much zero idea about anything regarding this (or politics in general) and I don't care either tbh, but based purely off of what I've read I'd imagine that Hillary will win because of the strong anti-Trump vote.

Hilary by default, but I disagree with her on so many issues :S
It would be like me voting labour just to stop the tories winning tbh. My vote would go elsewhere if it wasn't an obvious two horse race.

Bernie
I don't vote anyway and there's been both Democrats & Republicans that I've liked in the past (and from reading in history) so I could really go either way if I did vote.
In this case, I'm glad I don't vote. I could never eeeever put a vote down for either of these two. As clueless etc. as Trump is I legitimately don't even find Hilary slightly better. Hilary and her corruption actually annoys me more but she's more fitting for the job... I guess... because it's just surreal that Trump is even in a position where he has a shot to become President. :joker:
How it came down to these two is beyond me. Kanye really is gonna be President in 2020.

I dont think last nights debate changed a thing tbh.....trump if anything did himself good by not getting as nasty as hillary on this occasion ...maybe hes playing a long game. However he really needs to put more meat on the bones of his foreign policy. the whole ive got a plan but its a secret isnt going to fly. hes way ahead on trade and white collar industrial workers ....hes way ahead on jobs and tariffs and the economy at large. he needs to really underscore the fact hilary has always wanted a mexican wall for decades and to prevent illegal immigrants especially those who are serious criminals entering the country is a million miles from racist its common sense and its protecting the public. he needs to flip the script
