I bet they missed out the two bottles of champagne they ordered too.

Well I think in their twenties they should be past the prank or dare reasons for doing this. If I was one of their parents I'd be embarrassed too but there is no way I'd pay the bill. If mum and dad keep picking the tabs for your wrong doing, you'll just carry on doing wrong. I'd probably put pressure on her to pay the bill though.

Why should they be entitled to a free lunch when everyone has to pay? The chef, servers are entitled to the wage they earn in a hot kitchen.

And that is why any sensible business will have cctv these days

I rarely eat out, but have never skipped out on paying for a meal, the thought would never enter my mind. If a meal wasn't up to par, I would complain, but that's about it.

I've done it with a couple of work colleagues in Covent Garden ...we were young :hee: and then about 5 years ago me and two girlfriends were in the Slug and lettuce in Colchester and I think the staff changed shift and only billed us for the last bottle of wine ...we had lunch and more drinks but didn't argue about it obvs :hehe:not our fault they haven't a system :hmph:
