Trump VP Mike Pence won last night debate against HRC VP Tim Kaine but from the fallout it has been noted that Pence had a number of chances to defend Trump but skillfully sidestepped every single one. I wonder how Trump felt about that?
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2016/10/05/donald-trump-is-totally-not-upset-that-mike-pence-outdid-him-according-to-campaign-manager/
Other than that Trump has gone into another meltdown. Friday night he went nuts tweeting about the Miss Universe Alicia Machada who HRC bought up at the debate and in one tweet directed the world to check out a sex tape - The tape doesn't exist BTW .
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/09/30/donald-trump-attacks-former-miss-universe-over-sex-tape-in-late/
Monday the New York time printed a document they obtained from 1995 stating that Trump lost almost a billion dollars that year and due to that may not have paid taxes for almost two decades. Its not been a good week for the Trump campaign but as usual HRC people are to busy celebrating to notice she still cant pull away from him in the polls.
http://www.nytimes.com/2016/10/03/business/how-donald-trump-turned-the-tax-code-into-a-giant-tax-shelter.html
And finally we have Bill yesterday trashing OBamacare and calling it ' The craziest thing in the world.' Does Bill not realise that HRC needs the Obama's to get her the minority vote. This kind of confirms something that has been a rumour for ages that the Clintons and Obama's dont like each other and today Obama has cancelled an event he was due to go to for Hillary. There is also the view that Bill is somewhat ambivalent to HRC campaign or is Bill jealous that his administration will be known for blow jobs in the Oval office while Obama has Bin Laden and Universal Healt care - which was originally a Bill Clinton idea - to boast about.

Theres no clear fave at this point. Still alot to play for but someone needs to shut Bill up. He's hurting HRC far more that the Trump campaign ever could.

Both their discussions on Policy was shockingly bad....NBC should just accept they are both trash and let them go at each other personally :joker:
Such a negative election. I think both proving to be bad for this country. I'm done. I've checked when early voting opens in TX and am just going to get it over with then... :bored:
As far as who won... I'd say Trump did do better this time around. He kept his hands up and deflected whatever she threw onto him back onto her. He is definitely running a campaign based more on public perception. I would say it was pretty close to a tie, but not real sure who "won" as both were very aggressive and pretty nasty. I think it only divides the country further to be honest and not looking forward to the media charade.
We didn't hear much about policy as much as we heard a lot of smack talk/dirt throwing onto the other person... Hillary was more articulate than him and therefore her responses flowed better, with some fluff, but more descriptive of her views... Trump did seem to bring up more specific answers to certain things compared to his last debate, especially with regard to their strategies abroad. He kinda babbled through a lot of his answers though and kept flipping through topics during his answers, kept avoiding the actual question. It was harder to keep up with his responses... but again... running on perception so it was really the confidence of his response that really matters... :) and the fact he kept her on her toes.
I give this Debate a C in terms of being informative and helping people to decide.
Whoever organizes these things should really consider bringing in Gary Johnson (who has 8% I think) into the debate... if for anything, for ratings... neither of their egos could handle a third wheel getting in-between them and their dysfunctional relationship. They could use the soft center.

Well I ask youEither way it was close with neither candidate landing the knockout blow but as I said earlier I struggle to understand Trump when he speaks. He seems incapable of sticking to a topic and making his point, He did have the better zingers but HRC attempted to engage with the audience while Trump stood there criticising the moderators. I think HRC was definitely more rattled in the earlier exchanges but on policy Trump never makes sense so for me, I think he'd struggle to beat most politicians in a one v one debate.. The idea of democracy is a sham, the majority of high profile politicians come from the same very small pool of people who all know each other. Various political dynasties in the US, the Eton elite kids in the UK, etc.

Apparently there are more stores to come. An Exec producer on the Apprentice clams they've got far worse tapes than the one leaked over the weekend.

A bit surprised so many people are calling it an easy win for HRC. She won but it was much closer than the first debate. Looking at it I dont think Trump would beat many people in a one v one debate. The format really doesn't suit him. Trump showed again that he struggles with details and can barely keep to the same subject. At one point last night he started sentences saying the talk on the tape was 'guy talk' but ended the same setnence by saying he was gonna crush ISIS., How can anyone follow such random chains of thought :joker:That made me laugh but i don't think it was accidental.Just diversionary tactics that i don't think anyone else would've got away with.
Why were the moderators debating with Trump? wasn't it Clinton who was supposed to be debating? anyone would think these past two debates were bias.

That made me laugh but i don't think it was accidental.Just diversionary tactics that i don't think anyone else would've got away with.I agree it was diversionary but, even when he successfully pivots to his talking point, he cant articulate himself and his oratory skills are so lacking that it seems like he's going off onto random subjects. During the Primaries when there were over a dozen candidates on the stage his zinger approach to debating worked brilliantly but now that he has to explain himself, for me, he would struggle against anybody.

both debates have been very biased in Clinton's favour, its the establishment protecting itself

both debates have been very biased in Clinton's favour, its the establishment protecting itselfTrump has led the media a merry dance for almost a year and it seems only now are they getting wise to it. He's banned publications from his rallies, criticized journalists on twitter and blatantly lied during interviews. The media are a little pissed off with him; you just need to watch CNN or MSNBC to see the hit pieces they're running on him pretty much all day. I doubt Trump, at this stage, could find a moderator that would give him what his supporters consider 'fair' treatment and I frankly think he only has himself to blame. He's lied too often and there are now few jouno's who are prepared to let hm get away with it anymore. Chris Wallace wlll be the next debate moderator and he has already stated he will not fact check so maybe his supporters will consider him a fairer moderator.

This is 100% true, its a disgrace. Even when asked about his muslim questioon
1) He said temporary shutdown, they took out the word temporary....Then he started answering , within 2 seconds the lady interrupted him, he gave a very straightforward answer, extreme vetting, sounds 100% plausible to me.
They ignored yet again the FACT she voted for the illegal Iraq war, where over 1 million innocents died, which basically created the vacuum and worse still, she then dropped off billlions of dollars of weapons which then fell into the hands of terrorists, thus ISIS was formed. She also allowed them to keep the oil, which funded ISIS to spread to 32 countries and 35,000 people killed worldwide last year? All this happened on he watch and many of the 33,000 emails related to the weapons she herself had supplied the so called rebels in the middle east.
Heres just some proof

13 lies from Trump in last night debate two from HRC. Cant find the page for the first debate but as I recall that had the lie count at over 30 to Trump and about 4 to HRC. She lies too and I will never defend her but his lies are ridiculous. No journo who takes them selves seriously should allow hm to get away with it but that is only my personal opinion.

if the debates had been targetted at Hilary the way they were at Trump, the figures may have been more even.

if the debates had been targetted at Hilary the way they were at Trump, the figures may have been more even. That's possibly true. I do see some bias in the questioning but, particularly in the first debate, Trump had many chances to pivot to a talking point but instead walked right into the many traps HRC set for him.

Here's an interesting video demonstrating the power of 'anti-establishment' movements like Trump's in communities that have been left behind:
Donald Trump was more popular in McDowell County than anywhere else in America during the Republican primaries. Paul Lewis explores the power of the Republican presidential nominee’s message in the poorest county of West Virginia

I barely see any posts here about policy. Can someone please name me any policies during the debate of Trump's that are superior to what Clinton was proposing? Not trying to bait, just trying to view things from a different perspective and hear anything other than Hillary's emails (let's not forget Trump has over 3,500 lawsuits against him - the man is not innocent either)
