Just a sensationalist headline really. 25% of it's died but the rest is in danger.
The article has been edited since I posted it earlier thanks a lot.
..I don't think it's sensationalist in that it's a good fore-warning...man is given/man depletes, destroys etc/sometimes for better quality of life and sometimes for personal gain/human is human and human will be it's own undoing....interesting article, Cal....

Either way, it goes to suggest that that 'Mankind The Destroyer' may not be CAPABLE of a symbiotic relationship with the rest of the organic life on this beautiful planet.
Among other charities, I support an organisation - Global Witness - whose aim is to save our Rainforests.
I do not understand how Corporate and Governmental GREED is allowed to destroy what are, the 'Lungs of The World', thereby creating or contributing to EVERY increasingly and massively dangerous ecological crisis which faces this planet.
'For Our High Life Today - We Robbed You Of Your Life Tomorrow' ought to be these corrupt and mercenary bastards slogan.
No one - not the perpetrators, nor we 'onlookers' - can claim 'ignorance', when that dreadful but inevitable day does come, when this planet, not just the Great Barrier Reef, is DEAD.
