the purpose to your life - community message boards 16.10.16
given up on a beauty
a angel from heaven if only
inflation is pushing up the booty
but for 20mins i'm never lonely.
increasing in value
all 3 are demanding
now its easier then drinking Malibu
getting less commanding.
I do wake thinking
the love is equal
no time for sinking
copying up the sequel.
read it over
does it make any sense
is the reader calling me ben dover
the paper and cost waste is immense.
but it has worth
the margin is not narrow
its why I am on earth
god told me look for the arrow.
yes it is addictive
its the joy and the pride
I hope my dedication is inflictive
because the purpose to my life is the provide.

The point of my life is to educate, accumulate, copulate, procreate, then deteriorate until my eventual fate...

I don't think there is a point. The 'how' is more relevant a question than the 'why' imo.

Point To My Life
I pondered what was the Point To My Life
As I sat looking at pills, gun and knife
Then a voice deep inside my head
Said "Stop Don't Be A Dope"
"Go and find a length of rope
And hang yourself instead".
:joker::joker::joker:
...the purpose of life/the meaning of life, Hog..?..I would say would be differentt for everyone and specifically individual to everyone...the point of life to give your life a point and a meaning, I would say...to live it as best as you can live it...to try not to cross bridges that you haven't reached yet and to try to let go of the bridges you've crossed and move on from them, taking whatever they've given you with you...to live the moments and then to leave the moments and move to the new ones...

Well, as I don't believe in a "greater purpose" or design and I believe that biological life is simply a fluke of chemistry and mathematics of scale, then all I can really say about the "point" of life is to try to simply enjoy it as much as you are able to in any way possible, and also hopefully to be a positive part of other people's lives and help them to enjoy theirs, too. Some people need full / busy lives to do all of that, other people are happier with simpler, more comfortable lives. There's no right answer there, really. Just be happy with the positives and try not to let the negatives drag you under :joker:

We don't get to decide the colour of our skin or the culture or country we are born in.
People are losing their lives to leave the country they are born in to seek a better life in another one but are labelled illegal immigrants.
We feed, house and give murderers and rapist hospital treatment
And yet we allow children to starve and live on the streets
We give junkies who prey on the goodness of others and steal to feed their habit a life time of care and yet a family man or woman who have worked their whole life can't get medication to prolong their life as it's viewed as costing to much
We spend our lifes walking round in a bubble.

The point of life is to spend approx the first 40yrs trying to kill yourself... and the next 40 trying to stay alive.

I wasn't sure what to post in here because I don't think I consider there to be a 'purpose' but this post perfectly sums things up for me

Hmmm its a pretty big question...To be productive, to be kind to others, to help those in need, that goes for animals too...To spread love, to make a contribution, to be original, to form your own opinions whilst trying not to hurt people too, to help others in ways that really do help them not just in ways that make you feel good, to be honest and sincere. To work hard , to be a good example to others. To stay open minded, to be in constant evolution to learn and grow and improve. The more you learn the more you can contribute. To strive to maximize your potential , to discover and utilise all your talents to use them to make a better world and inspire others too. To take care of your parents and your children iff you have children , all these values can flow through them too and their childrens children. If you have no children you can still make these contribututions to the world and positively influence young people.
max ehhrman said it better
Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others,
even to the dull and ignorant; they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter,
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your own career, however humble,
it's a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself.
Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love;
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment,
it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive him to be.
And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life,
keep peace in your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.
