Slimming world is much better than weight watchers , several of my friends have lost a lot of weight on that plan.

Do you do much exercise Will? If not then maybe take something up like running/swimming/cycling etc, then you might not have to change your eating habits too much.

That's quite a lot, but if it's not making much of a difference you could always consider something else. Joining a gym could be a good idea actually because a lot of them will give you a free personal training session on signing up (if you ask) and you could use that to get them to help you set up an exercise program that will help you to lose the weight you want to get rid of?

It's all about getting the right balance of food (type of, more so than quantity) and exercise. Give yourself a goal, like to be a certain weight by Christmas or something.

I second this. My sister is doing this and the amount of weight she's lost. :shocked: The good thing about slimming world is that you can still cook and eat so well, even sweets and stuff. They call the bad stuff syns and you can have 15 syns per day. Say you want a kit kat. You look it up on their app and their app will show you that a kit kat is say 4 syns. That means you can eat other good stuff to complete your 15 syns allowance.

You're allowed dairy as a healthy allowance. Milk or cheese.

The main thing they ask is that each time you have a meal, vegetables or fruits fill up most of the plate. Some vegetables and fruits actually make you lose weight, like Brocolli. They call such fruits and veggies SPEED. So if you're going to have a small portion of chili con carne, load up broccoli, cucumbers, whatever is a speed. If you're going to have some porridge, pop some strawberries on there, have some satsumas, they're speed fruits. It's actually a good plan.
You have to join a group and attend once a week. Hashtag slimming world on instagram and facebook and see the meals they cook. They're great. The main thing my sister has given up is fattening oil, peanuts, junk food too but they show you how to cook meals that are like the take out, or do what my sister does, every Thursday is syn day which means every thursday she gets whatever the heck she's been craving. Mcdonals, pizza hut, whatever :laugh:

it really is.. dont have snacks, save them for the weekend and just exercise more. I lost like a stone without even trying when I got my first job

I don't want to sound like a bitch here it's honestly just advice because I used to hate my body too but I think you posted a shopping list and you had a few pizzas on it and stuff and honestly they'really so full of fat it's unreal. Making little changes will shoe big differences honestly. If you love pizza have you thought about making your own from low fat ingredients?

I used to go to the gym 3 times a week when I was dieting, we have gym stuff in the garage now so I use that instead but even though you do a lot of walking if you are heavy up top you maybe need to do some exercises that target the upper body?

Also if you genuinely can't lose weight look into something called lipotrim, you have to do it through a pharmacy but my mum lost a stone a week for 4 weeks a few years ago, it's total food replacement until I think 2 weeks in when you can have flapjacks

..it's hard for you atm I know, Will...without a proper kitchen etc and you're restricted..but I think if you're really focused on losing weight/if you think it's something that you should address..?..you can still look at the healthier meals that can be microwave cooked../so many internet recipes you can try and not too much preparation either.../maybe you could prepare some from scratch microwave meals for your whole family and give you a sense of feel good in doing that also..?...

..I think also, it's not just about the losing of weight and eating habits/tendencies etc..but why those habits and why those tendencies can apply also...as in do you think that you 'comfort eat' and use food as a coping skill..?...all of that you can explore as well while you're waiting for your proper kitchen to arrive.../addressing that I think is a key importance as well in redirecting your focuses to non eating ones and healthier ones when you feel anxious/stressed etc...the harder thing than losing the weight can be in keeping it lost and knowing yourself and why you eat as much as what you eat...those are things that you can 'take control of', which will really help and help you so much to feel good about yourself...:love:..(if that makes sense..:laugh:..)...

You must be eating A LOT if you arent losing weight with walking 7kms. In summer i ate normal (not stupid stuff like pasta) and i lost 7.5 kg in 3 months with walking like 3kms

if you eat less junk food you will be losing TON of weight :)
