I’M A Celebrity has reportedly signed up ex-EastEnders star Larry Lamb for a huge six-figure sum.
The 69-year-old actor, who played evil Archie Mitchell in the BBC soap, is set to jet off to the jungle next week after signing up for the show.
A source told The Mirror: “It’s a mega coup for the show, they have wanted to get Larry for a long time and he finally agreed to it this year.”
They added that he was sure to be a “massive hit” as he is “very popular with the ladies”.
The actor was said to have joined the show after being “enthralled” by Lady C on last year’s I’m A Celeb and that he “can’t wait to give it a go” as he is a “big fan”.
In an interview with the Scotsman in 2009, Lady C admitted that she had dated the actor in 1975 after she had split from her husband and called him a “darling”.
