The latest in a long line of geniuses who've badly injured themselves by trying to recreate a scene from Jackass, a Wisconsin man has been left with badly burned genitals after getting his friend to cover them in lighter fluid and set them on fire.
The man, identified as 20-year-old Jared W. Anderson from Eau Claire County, volunteered to perform the stunt after watching the movie. According to witnesses, he was drunk at the time.
Anderson reportedly pulled down his trousers and allowed his partner in genital-immolation, Randell D. Peterson, to spray his gonads with lighter fluid. Following a failed first attempt, when the fire didn't catch, more lighter fuel was added – after which the fire took quite well, setting Anderson's groin, hands and clothes alight.
At that point Anderson ran into the bathroom and jumped into the bath to put the flames out.
He was taken to hospital, and treated for second degree burns. Peterson was charged by authorities with charged with felony battery and first-degree reckless endangerment, for which he faces up to ten years in prison if convicted.
