I know, weird question, but stats are fun.

Edit: If you vote husband/lover into your amount, please state that in your reply... maybe I should create a separate poll

I was stopped at the end of the grocery aisle today by a man who literally stopped everything to be like OH HELLO..... I was like Hi! (non-effected)... I was in my athletic wear and feeling particularly awesome, so I guess it counts

Ever since I started running errands without my scary husband, I've been getting a lot more attention.... good and bad.

Not one to gloat, but I married a man with a glad eye, and he only has eyes for me. Over 30 times a week.

Oh I didn't even count my husband...

And damn it, I made the poll multiple choice... oh well, the votes are public

Also, :clap1: for you and your husband

Depends if I go out at night or not and get spruced up. Otherwise I willingly look like a tramp.

That's a nice thread idea... I wonder how many times people check themselves out per day/daily...

But really, no looks or compliments? Not even on your amazing personality?

I had a duh moment... I'm like, surely everyone get looks or at least compliments of some sort... but then I must think that's the norm based on being female. Women get checked out a lot more than men. My husband says he doesn't get that very often at all. We do talk about that sort. I cheer for him when he does though, because I think that's a good confidence booster... I mean I'm his wife, so I think he's attractive either way ... but nice to get complimented every once in a while... I mean, we need to spread the love... also with women, we spend so much time and energy (and $$) on make up, dress prep and just feels good when we look nice... and I make sure my husband at least matches when we go someplace to eat or something  I blame the OCD designer in me...

All guys have to do is put on a t-shirt, shave and bit and go forth and conquer... we have to spend so much money on just make up per year... but I really only wear make up for meetings or "dressing for work" (most of my work is done at home) so I at least feel dressed the part... I like clearer pores and to keep my natural oils

Aww shucks, thanks Maru :flutter:  I was just joking though really, although I do think it's a good thing to check yourself out  Some people might see it as an arrogance thing, but it's good to give yourself a bit of a confidence boost. I dunno though, I think you're probably right that it's different for men and women... women are generally judged more by their looks than men are so maybe that's why? Personally though I don't think I really look out for it or notice it much tbh so it's hard to put a number on it, I'll be out with my friends and one of them will tell me someone's checked me out and I'll be completely oblivious to it lol. I reckon it happens to people more than they realise, everyone checks people out when they're walking down the street, we've all done it and then looked away before they catch us

I think maybe I don't always notice these things... but lately I have noticed a bit more... and I would definitely go out on a limb and say at least once daily.

Yesterday during my run I got a whistle....and a cheeky look ...two seperate instances... and at a meeting last night I received a few compliments :blush2: ... but that many in a day is out of the ordinary.

My husband says I get more looks than I realize. Though I'm not looking for it anyway and they're probably a lot more casual about it. Men are not so casual when I'm by myself though...

I think it stands out more for me though because I don't spend as much time away from the home as some people since I have a home office. I usually go out mornings though to run errands when my husband is still sleeping in after his shift. So shops aren't going to be as full either. If I walk to the trails I usually go onto a path, but I do get honks occasionally before I get there... those spook me though because I'm both paranoid and I don't really like cat-calling :nono:

One time I went to a shop I don't normally go to in another part of town and some guy followed me and was like "Can I have your number?" He wouldn't leave me alone. I told him I was married (ring and all) and he still kept asking... seemed persistent even though I kept saying no and he could tell I was serious. I don't go to that store anymore though.

That reminds me. I remember I once saw this video that they exposed men to cat calling/sexual harassment... and some of them at the end were crying I think because of how wrong/stressful it was. Wish I could remember what it was called... but the men walked through a line of women reaching for them, saying very lewd things to them and pointing out their appearances, etc. They were bragging before that video that all these women were going to hit on them and it was going to be awesome.

I probably check people out more than they check me out to be honest.

Especially considering I've been alot more moodier/angrier lately, I doubt that's gonna attract many people to me lol.
