Like, what do you want to look back on when you're in your death bed and think, hmm I did that.

to be in love i guess :shame: like it seems amazing but it's something i have never felt

i've been like infatued with a guy bc of incredibly messy circumstances but it wasn't love (it was a perfect illusion :dazzler:)

I want to produce babies and give them a better upbringing than I had.

Married, 2+ kids, become a grandparent, be comfortable money wise, nice house, lots of dogs, lots of holidays seeing new places (Australia, USA, Canada, all over Europe).

OH... be in New York City at Christmastime with lots of snow... that's the one main thing that's never left me when I've thought of what I want to do!

If I could look back and have done half of that I'd have a smile on my face. (Got a lump in my throat doing this! Man!!)

I never was an overly ambitious person but since my Granddad died I've realised that I need to experience things.

One of the last things he said to me was "my life's just passed me by" and was really upset, and I thought... to be in your 80's and experienced what he has and think that then life really IS way too short, so you've got to go places, do things, push yourself so you can look back and not have any "should-of, would-of, coulda-of's".

Another decade would do nicely. :)

For you Jenny:

Age Is Just A Number
'Age is just a number' - you hear so all the time.
They must mean when you're all at 'sixes and sevens'
'Cos you can't still manage a 'sixty nine' :hee:

Or when you're buying an ice cream, and you hesitate
As the vendor says "Do you want a 'Ninety Nine'?"
'Cos you can't remember the first 'ninety eight'.

Or when you admit to yourself; "It's a racket"
When you still receive a 'hundred' Valentine's,
But posting them to yourself, cost a packet.

"Age is just a number" is perfectly fine for some
But it pees you off when all those saying it
Are about the same age as your son.

And you no longer go shopping in the town
'Cos you looked back and got a panic attack
To see The Grim Reaper following you around.

If my children look back at their childhood and say it was a happy time, job done I guess

Honestly I'm not here to go out of my way trying to achieve anything that will make myself proud, I kind of just plod along and think ok so this is what's happening now, do the things I want to do and like and I enjoy my life that way.

Thought I'd be the only one who thought this way.

But yeah I don't have 'goals' particularly or anything like that in life, I have some things like that I'd like to do (travelling etc), but ultimately just enjoy things that I like doing.

Yeah I'm kind of like this

I don't really have a "you only live once" attitude

I live in the moment and don't plan too far ahead. Things seem to work out for the best.

I honestly have no idea where I'll be in 5 years time, never mind what I can picture when I die. But that doesn't bother me.

I don't have any given goal but I'd love to look back at my life and be content with what I've achieved, know that I enjoyed myself and took every opportunity as it came.

It looks like we are all hoping to achieve the same thing in life.
Contentment, happy family and to love and be loved...the extra decade would be lovely as well.

This I think. Not necessarily achieving set goals but more generally, thinking I did the best I could, took opportunities, had some kind of positive impact however small, learned. I'd just like to feel happy and content at the end I think.
