Have gone to the cinema chosen your seat and then found someone sitting in your seat?

A couple of times and I asked them to move and they did. I take a lot of time planning the perfect seat so they are 100% shifting their arses

Yeah quite often, I have an unlimited card and if you go to preview screenings you can guarantee somebody will be in the seats we have booked.

Only once had a problem when the people wouldn't move and just went back outside and it turned out the people hadn't even got tickets to see the film.

No but I'd probably ask them to move.

I rarely go the cinema when a film is newly released - precisely because I hate packed cinemas, so I don't think I would care as there's always lots of free seats.

Depends on the cinema really, the cinema I go to when you book online you can choose a seat or if you book in person they allocate it for you, most of the other cinemas round here it's first come first served

They recently refurbished my local cinema and every screen has these massive leather recliner seats, pure bliss and no having to squeeze past people to get to the toilet

My local cinema is pretty small so that's probably why there are no allocated seats, it was rarely ever close to being full or anything I don't think. But haven't been in years so it could be all different now.
