View Full Version : Shocker: more Americans voted for Hillary than voted Trump (even though she lost)

According to this website ( http://www.nytimes.com/elections/results/president ) it is very likely that more Americans actually voted for Hillary than Trump even though she lost the election. This website has been remarkably accurate so I am going to assume that it is right. So Hillary won the popular vote but lost the electoral college. I thought it would have been the other way around. This would be the 5th time in US history that the person who got the most American votes did not become president (the last time was 2000 when Bush beat Gore).
We live in interesting times. I am thinking of this song a lot right now:

That would surprise me - every other time the figures refreshed and updated, Trump seemed to be ahead on the overall percentage  think the closest I ever saw it was Trump 52%, Hillary 48%.

A lot of California has not been counted yet (I think). If you go to the website it is projecting Hillary will win the popular vote by about 1%.

We're in a rebellious phase at the minute it seems, I just do think that Trump might be a step too far as his more of a character than a leader.

Misogyny is a tricky one though, not so easily defined. I wouldn't expect a woman to understand...

You must be so disappointed that she didn't cry.
Don't cry arista.
Great speech. I don't like her much but she is a strong, remarkable person - no one can deny that.

That I do agree with....and you were rooting for the poor man's Alan Sugar for the massive job of President of the USA. I find that hilarious...:joker:
