Will Trump hold on for a second term, will Pence replace him were he to be impeached/resign, or will a Democrat take it back? This is TiBB so we're not expecting prescient observations

The big momentum seems to be behind Michelle Obama of course. Do you think she'd run?

I don't think Michelle will run... she has never had the political drive and ambition Hilary has... she has not served in office before. It's just a internet driven pipe dream to think she would

Michelle didn't even want Barack to go for presidency though, she doesn't like politics at all, she's really happy it's finally over. I highly doubt she'll run tbh. Would be cool though.

This.

I think she's amazing and would be a much better first woman president than Hilary would have been imo

Michelle has said loads of times she would never be president when asked, but I'd love her to - another 8 years of the Obamas<3

I'd love Kanye to win lmao

I don't know why you think she would make a better first woman president than Hilary...she has no political track record. Sure, she used her platform as first lady to highlight nutrituon, an issue she is passionate about, and i admire her for it and think she is a wonderful person... but she does not have the resume for presidency... i mean Trump doesn't either... but i can't prop up in one candidate what I dislike in another

Because I like her much more and she just comes across as a better person than Hilary :hee:

Elizabeth Warren :fc: (Bernie Sanders will be too old by 2020 :()

I love Michelle too but I don't think she's interested in politics. She's probably glad to be out of the White House

Remove the Natural Born Citizen requirement (replace it with 30 years residency) = Arnie 2020! Yas.

He can run against Robert Patrick. Utter Bliss.

Precisely. The DNC have a lot to answer for at this election. Disenfranchised Americans were crying out for an alternative to establishment politics and the Democrats chose to allow one to run unopposed. A calamitous mistake.

Michelle hates politics and who can blame her, so Not a chance. Such a shame Bernie won't be bothered and too old, because I think a lot of America finally realised how much they ****ed up not supporting and listening to him. I would say Warren for the Dems or any generic white male and probably Paul Ryan from the Republican side if Trump ****s up.

:amazed: I'd love that!

I don't think Michelle will run. I actually think it's likely the democrats will put up a celebrity rather than a typical political type next time. So someone like Susan would be realistic. Apparently there's even odds on Ivana Trump

..yeah I think Michelle is more of a humanist and that's where her passions are and with all of the skull-doggery there seems to be in US politics..(or any politics..)...that lady don't need that to fulfil who she is...Susan though does seem to have always had an interest in politics...(and obviously she's fairly fabulous which is a plus...)...

I cannot see Michelle wanting to run in 2020, she would get the same abuse Hillary got if Trump was still the President then going for a 2nd term.
He has said some pretty bad things about Obama in this election.

Hillary was able to take the vile knocks,I am not sure Michelle could or would even want to.
Depending on his fitness and if things go wrong for Trump, perhaps Saunders could get another shot.
They really need to be thinking of that right now however as to who the democrats would like to consider for this.

If Trump gets into bother bigtime with the alleged abuses of women,( which may yet deliver some bad shocks for him), then has to for whatever reasons resign, then Pence would take over and have a likely shot himself in 2020, just as Gerald Ford did after Richard Nixon.
