When I used to drink it I preferred water, don't like anything too milky/creamy.

First you heat some water, pour it in a cup, then add some cocoa and finally some milk and sugar and mix it up. Then you drink it.

Normally I have both... if I had to chose one though it would be milk.
I had a hot chocolate orange at Costa on Sunday, it was lush.
Milk
Chop the hands off those who prefer water over milk that's ludicrous

I hate hot chocolate but i would probably have it with milk. Horlicks is much better out of the sweet hot drinks.

Sometimes itīs not sweet enough. I donīt use much of it nowadays, but i used to put 5-10 spoons (tea spoons) of sugar in one mug.

To hide the taste of all the water you put in?
Well it depends what type of hot chocolate and what the instructions say, some already has dried milk in it
