Former 'It Girl' and reality TV star Tara Palmer-Tomkinson has revealed that she has been living with a brain tumour for over a year.
The Sun reports that she revealed the news of her diagnosis at a veteran's event in London in October.
The publication quotes her as saying: "I've carried this secret for a year.
"I wanted to deal with my illness privately but there have been so many rumours flying around.
"I went to the doctors to talk about my latest blood test results when I got back from skiing in January," she added.
"I said 'What does this mean?'", Palmer-Tomkinson continued. "And the doctor said: 'As I suspected, you have a brain tumour.'
"I got terribly frightened. I started thinking, 'I'm going to die. I've only got a couple of weeks to live.'"
Doctors have apparently reduced the tumour, but also discovered that Palmer-Tomkinson has a rare auto-immune condition that causes tiredness, joint pain and weight loss.
