...very, very sad..:sad:..especially as he was obviously targeted as well and just sitting in his car, that awful visit that I imagine every police officer's family dread when their loved ones are out there on duty.../just so sad ...I hope that the person is found soon and fully brought to justice...

We had that happen here with Goforth except it was at a gas station... same place a friend of ours goes to get his gas while on petrol. So could've easily been him. The suspect is actually housed where hubby works and hes dealt with him a few times... they don't have to like it, but they do their job... I think it was the mother that actually tipped them off. She called the station to inquire the description... then said he was framed. I vaguely recall it... could be wrong.

These violent acts need to stop all around... towards minorities, whites, muslims, xxxx supporters, you name it... to hurt ppl just bc they think differently, act differently or believe differently is not American. More like terrorists tbh.

It's just bizarre. That we live in such a country now where you can be going about your business, but worry that you may not make it home bc of really what is just circumstances... your color of skin, your way of speaking, your social status whatever...

Itis so sad, but also enraging. Two police officers executed like sitting ducks in their cars on the same night in two separate incidents in two different locations.

I'm sorry, but I truly believe that criminals - of all categories - are more audacious now because society has become 'soft' and 'complacent', if not apathetic, in its attitudes towards crime AND punishment, and sentencing which reflects the TRUE gravity of the offence, is all too often now, simply NOT being administered by Judges.

GONE is the deterrent element of a lot of sentencing now - even in the USA, which was once still a beacon of realistic sentencing, long after the UK had succumbed to the PC-fuelled bleeding heart idiocy of further punishing victims by often rewarding the perpetrator.

The DEATH SENTENCE for deliberate First Degree murder of Old People, Children, and ESPECIALLY Cops, should ALWAYS be mandatory - in my opinion.

It should be CLEARLY SEEN, by those brave men and woman who PROTECT us, that we are doing ALL that we can to protect THEM.
