How cool is that

The founder of Corona, Antonino Fernández has just made every single resident of his hometown, Cerezales del Condado in Spain, a millionaire.

Fernandéz died this year in August, however he had left in his will around €2.3 million to each of the around 80 residents that dwell in his hometown.

The philanthropic billionaire originally moved to Mexico in 1949 when he was just 32, joining Grupo Modelo, who’s most famous creation is Corona beer.

When Fernandéz died he was 99 years old.

In his last will, he left €200 million to his hometown, and once that was divided out amongst the tiny population, where was plenty for everyone.

One lucky villager, who owns a bar in Cerezales del Condado told local newspaper Diario de León “We never had any pesete (money) before. I don’t know, what we would have done without Antonino.”

As well as the huge lump sum the village will receive, Fernandéz left money for a cultural centre to be built, as well as money for a local non-for-profit foundation that has 300 employees.

The money should stayed in mexico, such a beautiful country, with beautiful people, who could really use the money. I spent this summer on the Oaxacan coast discovering this amazing country.

I don't doubt he's made a lot of cash. Corona is very popular here. Good to see he is paying it forward...

It's not a true story, he didn't really make them all millionaires.
