The trial set ups are phenomenal this year. They have obviously worked hard on them and the attention to detail is fantastic. The problem therein, is that they are so bloody easy and not very frightening. We are not going to get any Dean Gaffney moments or anyone refusing to do anything or quit halfway through like in the past.

It might be me, but Im not that bothered about looking at the trials this year. With only a few days to go, Im guessing they wont come up with any changes that could inject any beef into them, so I guess we are stuck with a boring fuzzy series and an unwatchable aftershow programme run by monkeys and too many of them.

Agreed. I think they also need to do something with the format because the series is becoming tired imo

The trials have been epic, witness the tube train last night but the campmates have become used to the actual fake jeopardy

Yeah. The only trial I've actually thought, nah **** I wouldn't even do that is the launch night one when they were on a platform over a tall building.

Some people are clearly hard to please on here :idc:, how can anyone call these trials "fake jeopardy" or "boring & easy" , what about the one Wayne did with a crocodile swimming near him. Like WT actual F !!! who on here could do that trial and be honest!!????. And most the trials look difficult and scary

The croc had its mouth taped up, totally harmless and non dangerous. The only thing they are using that would bite are the snakes and they are all fed first and pythons are more likely to run than fight a human. As I said the tasks are simple. Even the plank, they had harnesses and no danger there.

Excuse me snakes are not the only ones to bite !, What about RATS !!! They're vicious and ugly , mud crabs nip and pinch like crazy and Even green Ants sting and bite like hell (they may be small but they're a nightmare) .
And have you forgotten the LIVE scorpion that bit Carol's hand when she had to eat it :conf::shocked: .

And of course they're harnessed up in height trials otherwise they'd fall to THEIR DEATHS , what exactly do you want Sam someone to fall and seriously injure themselves seen as you want some kind of danger?!? So never mind about health & safety then

Exactly my point, a nip here and there and a bit of gunge, hardly the tribulations that would case any NORMAL PERSON any serious or even uncomfortable pain. By the way, no animals will bite if you dont threaten them. The key is slow deliberate movements and your home and dry except for those pesky Green ants. But no I dont want them to die which is why all the safety controls are in place.

Tbh the heights wouldn't bother me, but I've noticed they've used an absolute buttload of snakes and spiders this year (admittedly they've probably only used so many spiders because of Adam) and **** that quite frankly.

:laugh2: it's no walk in the park, maybe you should try some of these trials to see how easy you find them  . I agree some trials look easier than others but it's still not nice it's a bush Tucker trial after all  . I don't want to see anyone in terrible pain but we have seen them in uncomfortable pain and being slow doesn't always work especially if you have only a limited time to get all stars for meals .

Plus even when they're gentle it's not always home and dry it's not as simple as that because you're still invading a creature's surrounding and they still attack you lol

yes but it is an insult to the intelligence of the audience to put in a croc with its jaws wired shut.

Just dont put in a croc at all.

It's a claustrophobic space the crocodile would of ripped him to pieces  yea maybe they shouldn't put it in but then nobody would be talking about that trial so they're plan worked.

In the past I can't remember who the celeb was but she had to swim a swamp full of creatures and a huge crocodile and his JAW WIDE OPEN !!! but they had a marks man with a shot gun in case the crocodile went for her . It was some years ago I can't remember the celeb but it was a woman so we know IAC has done risky dangerous trials before, Sheila Ferguson almost had an encounter with a crocodile too I think .

The effort put into the trials this year has been amazing.. but yeah some of them have been quite easy to complete. I think it's kinda hard for them to find the right balance though, they can't really go into it putting all this effort and money into each individual trial only for the camp mates not to do them because they're so scared. The tasks themselves aren't really the problem though.. it's collecting 12 stars in a small space in 10 minutes with time left over, they need to double the stars or something.

You know very little about me but in my younger days, before I became a golf professional, I was in the Army. I was a paratrooper so heights didnt phase me. In my golfing career I have lived in the Caribbean for 4 years, South Africa for 6 years, Thailand for 3 and Mexico for 6. Needless to say snakes, bugs and creepy crawlies have been in existence and Ive been bitten by a scorpion 4 times in Mexico and once in South Africa, i was bitten by a snake but the hospital was 1 mile away and the antivenom was in within minutes of me getting there so all I had was a swollen arm and a very big tongue (dont know why) for a couple of days.

On top of all of that Ive been married for 45 years, so everything creepy thats happened pails into insignificant when the later is put in the equation.

I don't think the trials are any easier than they have been in other seasons. It's just that the celebs this year are trying harder/are better/braver...

I wasn't knocking anyone who's actually been through hard rough times  , you're here to tell the tale but i didn't expect a life story and i never said i knew you but sometimes when people complain about situations they don't know what it's like and you might think it's nothing what these trials are but i doubt any of them have had to deal with that kind of stuff seen as they're all from luxury lifestyles some of them probably have housekeepers  .

The point i'm making is why should they put the celebrities life in such high risk for entertainment :bored: , and over the years IAC has pushed the boundaries so i don't see anything wrong with them taking it easy on them this year

In the past they've had serious injuries like 4 years ago David Haye got seriously bitten by a bandi coot ( it looked like a rat ) and he needed medical attention

further back a neighbours actress and an emmerdale actress had to jump out of a helicopter into the river below where they'd done a colour code pattern with holes and they had to jump into the holes that would equal the most stars for meals , and the neighbours actress injured her neck so badly and had to leave the show

and like i've said in the past there's even been a marks man ready incase a crocodile swims towards a contestant ! . so IAC has done everything risky even having ostriches pecking at people which must be worse than an emu pecking you

I think it's all subjective really in terms of what each individual is afraid of.

Like last night's one with Carol and Sam I thought "that looks so easy!" but my Mum said that that'd be 10x worse than anything else because of her fear of heights.

i think the answer to all of this lies in the name of the show. its not survival, its fear and critters.

Yet another full house of stars and Larry really had a hard task on this one, Hooly crap, who decided on this one, he was really in mortal danger of getting piles and Jordan could have got a nasty chill, FFS what a snooze fest.

I missed the show I'm going to have to watch it back, if you're so unhappy why you still watching the show ?:conf:. Atleast everyone tries their best in trials even silly Adam & Martin has given it a good go . Nobody has quit any unlike previous seasons when bimbo Helen Flanagan kept quitting most the trials , there were times she didn't even attempt the trials it was pathetic she kept moaning that much :bored:
