UFC star Conor McGregor will reportedly make an appearance in hit fantasy TV show Game of Thrones.

Belfast newspaper Sunday Life is reporting that HBO, the network that produces the drama, 'headhunted' the Dubliner on the recommendation of one of the Game of Thrones directors, who is a huge UFC fan.
It is not known what role McGregor would have in the show, or when he would appear, although the paper is reporting that he will 'appear in one of the remaining two seasons'.

Game of Thrones has been a monster hit since debuting in 2011. It is based on the 'A Song of Fire and Ice' book series written by author George RR Martin.
McGregor is set to take some time out of MMA after winning the UFC lightweight title at Madison Square Garden in New York last month. The fighter announced after the bout that he is expecting his first child with partner Dee Devlin.

I would imagine a sort of cameo / warrior type role rather than a real character part... I mean... I doubt he an actually act? :joker: so likely more of a physical role.

I think I might technically be classed as a disabled person now :umm2:. McGregor would never fight back against a cripple so I'd defs win :hee:
