Yeah my whole family is a drunken mess at christmas :joker: My dad usually stays sober and does the driving, there's a lot of driving to different family members houses/picking people up and dropping them off home again, but when his taxi duties are over he gets caught up

Wtf is pop, we're not in the 50's anymore :idc:It was a joke mainly for Niamh, I was hoping she would get.

It's the sarcastic priest from Farther Ted.

Explain why Pop is a 50s thing? because I ain't got a clue what your talking about.

And why do you think things must change because it's a different year?

But yeah I'll be supping away on the mulled wine and proseco all day so it's inevitable, board games are so much more fun that way :fan:

'Pop' is something I've never heard of other than when my grandparents are talking about fizzy drinks. :fan:

I think its impossible to get drunk on the day what with all the grub but you do try to get a decent drink on the go. Bottle of wine or two and some firewater and the like.

But not like in a state where you cant walk the dog, put children to bed or not be able to play games etc

but rest assured its a day to take no prisoners

Nah. I don't drink very often at all, to be fair, but even "in my day" when I was in my late teens / early 20's and drunk several times a week... I don't think I've ever been drunk at Christmas . As a general rule I A) don't drink in the house and B) don't drink around my kids... so Christmas is pretty much a no now anyway :joker:.
