Yeah it's so nice though. I mean it is more expensive than the other countries around but we stayed in a 5* hotel and that was a lot cheaper than we would have paid in most places in Europe for example and it was one of the nicest places I ever stayed. They had the pool area on a roof with a tropical garden around it, you could have been on an Island somewhere rather than the roof of a hotel in the middle of a city

No I was never there, we had to choose between there and Singapore for a 2 day stop over when we were going to Australia so we chose Singapore. What was wrong with it?

Just lack personality, a big modern city, natives weren't too friendly, oh an the airport is like 60km away from the city so can take over 2 hours to get to the city so not so ideal for short trip.

The people were really nice in Singapore, really polite and helpful.

I love Singapore. Although to be fair it's over 40 years since I've been there. There weren't as many skyscrapers then, in fact I only recall one or two tall buildings down Orchard Road. The laws were very rigid then, but it made for a very clean and safe environment.
