1920s London. A murder, brutal and bloodthirsty, has stained the plush carpets of a handsome London townhouse. The victim is the glamorous and rich Emily French (Kim Cattrall). All the evidence points to Leonard Vole (Billy Howle), a young chancer to whom the heiress left her vast fortune and who ruthlessly took her life. At least, this is the story that Emily’s dedicated housekeeper Janet McIntyre (Monica Dolan) stands by in court. Leonard however, is adamant that his partner, the enigmatic chorus girl Romaine (Andrea Riseborough), can prove his innocence. Tasked with representing Leonard is his solicitor John Mayhew (Toby Jones) and King’s Counsel, Sir Charles Carter KC (David Haig).

Looking forward to this, especially after how good And Then There Were None was last year (this adaptation is being written by the same person, Sarah Phelps). I already knew how ATTWN ended but I don't know any plot details with this one.

I really enjoyed this. My crackpot theory that makes no sense (which is my general method because Agatha Christie was an evil genius so I always go for the most out-there possibilities) is that Leonard and Romaine are in on it all together.
Or the cat dunnit. Yeah, I'm not really good at working these things out. :ninja2:
I hope it isn't compared too much to And Then There Were None though. That was essentially an early slasher, this is a courtroom drama so of course it's slower paced etc.

I forgot to mention last night that I love that Monica Dolan is in this. I became aware of her through another Agatha Christie adaptation, the Poirot episode "After the Funeral", such a brilliant actress

I know the BBC have more Christie adaptations planned but I hope we don't have to wait a year again for the next :worry:
