View Full Version : Corbyn To Be Re Branded As A Left Wing Populist

Labour strategists are planning to relaunch Jeremy Corbyn as a leftwing populist in the new year, as the party seeks to ride the anti-politics mood in Brexit Britain and narrow the gap with the Tories.

While the Islington North MP’s politics are very different from those of Nigel Farage or Donald Trump, senior Labour figures believe his unpolished authenticity could help the party draw on the wave of anti-establishment feeling sweeping through politics.

Corbyn is expected to appear more frequently on television, and a newly expanded team of advisers are working to formulate flagship policies that would underline his willingness to lead a revolt against vested interests.

With the party languishing 14 percentage points behind the Conservatives in the latest ICM poll, and after a disastrous performance in recent byelections, Jon Trickett, the party’s election coordinator, told the Guardian that Labour was honing its message and “ramping up” preparations for a possible early election.

Elements of Labour are still obviously suffering under the delusion that Corbyn is electable. I wonder how many elections they will have to lose before they twig on.

If it wasn't all so pathetic it would be funny.

Good news, as the corrupt nature of our current govt is becoming increasingly apparent, I hope the scales fall quicker and we can salvage something of this country before it is entirely enveloped by outside interests.

The conservatives could do with re branding, they've been the 'nasty party' since.... well, forever.

It's also very interesting how often governments with socialist ideals and good intentions have become dictatorships.

We are living in a dictatorship now, no foreshadowing required.

His problem is that he doesn't represent the views of Labour voters in the north.Andy Burnham keeps trying to put this accross but it seems to fall on deaf ears.He is unelectable and the likes of Corbyn,John McDonell,Diane Abbott and Emily Thornberry are doing Labour no favours at all. They are unlikable characters who don't appeal to or represent many of Labours voters.

That is very true. I have little faith in those with rigid socialist ideals as they tend to want to tell everyone else what to think. They are convinced of their 'superior' views and become very dictorial to others. It is their way or the highway kind of mentality.

When those with such ideals acquire any power the results are usually very predictable.

I use to really like this man but the more time goes on the more I go off him, I'm not really sure if he is the right leader for labour.
