So cars can run for alot longer these days.Everybody lets high mileage put them off.Anything over 100k and they're avoided like the plague.
You can get some great cars though at bargain prices.Volkswagen,BMW,Audi etc really cheap but with great reliable German engines that would probably run another 100k or so if they've been looked after. So What do you think about high milers?
Have you bought one?
Would you?
Does it generally put you off?

If it's a diesel then it's fine imo

Yeah i've heard diesels will last longer. Also ex company cars are good to look out for.Regular services and mainly motorway miles etc.

IF the clutch and timing belt have been done then you are fine. If not then you potentially have a surprise repair on the horizon that could be like 50% of the value of the car . You can usually check if these things have been done before buying, though.

The rest will be smaller and mainly cosmetic things that can go wrong in higher mileage cars simply because they've been used more. But a lot of that is down to how well they've been treated. A well loved 100k+ car can easily be in as good condition as a car with 45k that's been used like a toy.
