Madeleine McCann’s parents are hoping that a New Year ‘miracle’ will reunite them with their daughter as they approach the milestone 10th anniversary without her

Kate and Gerry McCann still have hope that daughter Maddie could still be alive
Scotland Yard are busy investigating a lead in a bid to end the family’s torment
Police officers think Maddie was kidnapped by a European trafficking gang

The parents of Madeleine McCann are hoping that a New Year “miracle” will reunite them with their daughter as they approach the milestone 10th anniversary without her.

Kate and Gerry have never given up hope that Maddie could still be alive and have started 2017 with renewed spirit and vigour.

A Facebook campaign promoting the hunt for their daughter, which they endorse, says in a new posting: “We still have great hope and believe in miracles. Thank you for continuing to be by our side. Let’s get her home.”

Given that the case is completely unsolved... why are you so sure of this, LT? And I mean all conspiracy theories aside. All that is known is that she disappeared from the room. There has never been any evidence at all to concretely suggest that a "paedo snatched her". Yet you seem utterly convinced of it, as if it's a fact .

(Obligatory side note to mention that, as always, the most rational theory as explanation is that they accidentally killed her via doping and hid the evidence knowing that they would be charged with manslaughter).

Infinitely more plausible, yes. Backed up by statistical fact, actually, as well as boatloads of (albeit circumstantial) evidence.

utter rubbish

It isn't more plausible that a child died in an accident, than that they were snatched by a predatory paedophile who was spotted by absolutely no one in a holiday resort? Accident - vs - abduction statistics alone make it far more plausible. I'm starting to wonder if you understand the concept of plausibility, LT...

Yes. Though it still has more life in it than Trump, Brexit, Gender Identity, and US-Cops-vs-Black-People. So I'd call that a win.

Nobody said they're murderers. They're saying they concealed an accident they would've been punished for.

I don't think there is any such thing as a "classic murderer" but, regardless, I haven't seen anyone suggest anywhere that they deliberately killed their daughter. Indeed, that really isn't plausible. What is entirely plausible is that they doped her up with over-the-counter meds (probably antihisthamines) because of her trouble sleeping the previous night, and she woke up drowsy and hit her head on the hard floors that are common in Portuguese holiday apartments. It is also likely that they would not want to report the accident as any postmortem would reveal aforementioned over-the-counter med doping.

Something which - by the way - *IS* most common in middle-class families. Horrifyingly enough.

statistics

What statistics? You're just making stuff up now. In fact, if you take things like gang violence out of the equation, pre-meditated murderers (and especially serial killers) are very often Middle Class.

Good maybe you have an idea of how many feel about all the politically correct rubbish on here, and many other places, with only being able to express certain 'acceptable' views without 'punishment'. Booooooooooooring !!!
