Yeah but there's no fixes rates in the acting industry how much you get paid a lot of the time is decided before you've even started filming. It also depends on how much time they spend filming, screen time etc. Also producers are gonna want to pay the actors the lowest possible rate so it all depends on how their agent can negotiate.

If mothers are taking additional time off for their kids, that's understandable. Same as if fathers were taking more time off. But more and more men are sharing childcare with their spouses, and that's how it should be. And more women are getting into positions of power... so things are changing and will continue to change.

Though I do not believe it is all down to kids mind. I myself have been in jobs where I was basically offered a promotion/pay rise IF I sucked the boss off. On saying no it went to a guy, who I presume did not have to suck the boss off.
