View Full Version : Thoughts on Calum?

He'll be the Facebook favourite this year, but he comes across so fake. You could tell he wanted to rip into Spencer during the discussion of who to edit out, but he's obviously far too aware of the cameras that he wouldn't do it. He's desperate to be liked by the public.

I liked him in CBB15 but I don't think he's that nice as people make out he is. Spencer will expose his true colours sooner or later.

I don't mind him. He'll be a much better winner than the last couple.

He's fine. He glides slightly above the cut off point of dull but rarely peaks anywhere close to interesting.

Tbh he wasn't that nice in CBB15, he joined in the Alicia bitching and it didn't make the highlights. :/

I didn't mind him in CBB15 but he's practically been upstaged by his mother the second time round and in a cast like this, he really doesn't stand out at all.

He's trying to come across as the nice guy. I bet he's dying to let rip at Spencer, but he can't or he will lose his nice guy persona :hehe:

I hated him in BB15 and I hate him in this series as well. He's trying so hard to be the good guy but he's coming across so dull. Luckily Spencer is there to get a bit of reaction from him

He is cool...the worse thing he has ever done is be a womaniser. He is good looking (IMO)...level headed and smart.
Anyone who has total loyalty to their mum the way he does...has my respect.

Everyone will react to a windup merchant...good or bad. He is human at the end of the day. Spencer is a wuss. When someone was asked to stand up and name the 3rd Edited person..why didn't Spencer stand up and choose Angie?...he bottled it bigtime.

I'm starting to feel Calum will probably copy Rylan so he can win. If you are going against Speidi to look like a hero then you obviously going to win but hopefully it doesn't happen.

Somehow I seem to prefer him to when he was in CBB15, I really don't know why. A final two between him and his mum could be nice.

Idrg the going against Speidi = hero logic tbh. Maybe people just don't like them?

At first it was Austin, then it was Angie. If it was one person it would make sense but if a few people are saying it then they're just really transparent gameplayers and annoying at that.

because they are villains and most of the public hate/dislike them so going against them will obviously make you a 'hero' They haven't really done anything wrong and people(hms) are obsessed with them already.

True. They're a lot nicer this time. Smart game play, because as long as they aren't openly nasty they will remain in the House.

He was a bore first time round and like Coleen wants to rewrite how he is perceived, I think he might lose it big time even Moreno so than he did when Perez pushed his buttons

Yeah, but just putting any dislike shown towards them down to "wanting to be a hero" is a bit stupid tbh. Like I said, it's not impossible for someone to find them annoying just because they are? And they've gone in with the sole intention of pretty much doing the same thing they did the first time. Not to mention, we don't see everything.

people can dislike who ever but some just do it for the cameras to be a hero, going against the villians will get you support and maybe the win. They haven't even started doing that yet, Heidi was nice and so was Spencer. if something happened we would have heard about it or seen it.

Lostie!

Meh.

And just because his sniping at Alicia last time didn't make the show doesn't mean I didn't see it. I remember, boyo.

Lol....only because they are up against stronger characters in there and they have a much harder game to play. They may find themselves out of their depth and won't be able to handle it. Heidi is in hiding and Spencer's pretty much on his own...

He was a ****ing dullard last time and I'm fuming he's been cast, especially since he stands a good chance of winning against all of these other great potential housemates.

That said, he made me laugh on a couple of occasions tonight and I'm hoping Angie (who is already far more interesting than he was) being there may bring out a different side to him. We shall see

Nice enough looking bloke but insipid and has no chance of having any juicy storyline while Mommy Dearest is in the house

ugh thank you. The thing that *I* personally don't get is the ~ten posts in this thread being all like "Calum tries to play the nice guy BUT SPENCER SURE IS GONNA TEST HIM!!!!!!" like apparently it's impossible to both be a generally nice person and take issue specifically with Spencer. It's been two ****ing days and Spencer and Heidi are already being placed back on that pedestal where they can possibly do no wrong and nobody better dare to even think of doing wrong to them.

I never liked Calum. He is just another worthless do nothing celebrity child. I don't like Angie either. She is all time gold digger hag. Calum was so boring last time around. This year it's gonna be no different.

He's not boring in my view but he is far too clinical. Not enough spontaneity.

I dunno why but he keeps reminding me of Robbie Williams.

Well from what I see, what have the others done ? more or less the same as him except for the older guy, they do the reality show circuit ,a bit of modelling and personal appearances ,they all seem very similar in that respect.
