well it's a talent show, you might think that they can find stars really at the blind auditions but it's not, i think he can be a good coach for the young talent wanting to improve with the singing :)

The globally successful talent show comes to ITV for its sixth British series. Host Emma Willis goes it alone this year as the show kicks off with the first blind auditions. The multi-talented will.i.am returns for his sixth stint as a coach, joined by the legendary Sir Tom Jones, Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale and Oscar-winning singer Jennifer Hudson. As the auditions get under way, the singing hopefuls will have to truly command the stage if they want to get those infamous red chairs spinning.
