I don't think James is that different, he's always had a caring streak underneath the bluster and wind - ups. He was the only HM who looked out for and spent a lot of time with Gary Busey in his former series even though Gary drove him to distraction...and Gary wound him up right back and played the poor innocent old man...many viewers didn't see James as the bully he was painted, he came top 3 after all...:hee:
