It's a pretty ignorant and insulting generalization to make and the kind of thing you'd find in Daily Mail comment sections from people who seem obsessed with the show despite their protestations that they don't watch. It's irritating when people make sweeping statements on entire groups of people based only on ugly stereotypes and this is no different just because those sections of the viewership do exist.

I too find irritating the assumption that everyone who watches Big Brother (or popular reality shows in general, for that matter) mustn't be very intelligent, and I think it's perfectly possible to find escapism and enjoyment out of a multitude of things that have no bearing on your intelligence.

That said, my quip was aimed at the fact that consistently the viewers of this show make ****ing moronic decisions and support the most irrelevant of housemates. You need only to take a look at the comments section of the official Facebook page to see that, it's like a cesspit of idiocy - and don't even get me started on the abhorrent crowd :umm2:
