View Full Version : This has backfired massively for producers

They obviously thought by not mentioning anything about an eviction that they would all vote for who they thought was genuinely the dullest. Opposed to voting who they wanted out and a result like this happening. Such a kick in the face.

Doubtful. Stacey may be a forum fave, but she was doing poorly on the bigger polls likes tellymix. In a vote to save, drama keeps you in and Austin was the centre of a lot of it.

And you for real? it was a total non event and absolutely worthless. And did further damage to the show as a whole.
It's sad what this show has been reduced to and even worse that viewers on fan sites actually celebrate it.

I agree, one of the best evictions of all time. A guy who was so cocky and sure that he would be in top three can now go into the arms of his new lover and cry all he wants. it sure has made my night. With no idea it was going to be an eviction the HMs where messing around and having a laugh by voting even their friends as dullest - a great eviction but, as already mentioned, it massively back fired for the producers.
They were clearly so cocksure he wouldn't be evicted when he didn't even have best bits, despite being up for eviction that same night :joker:. The producers made themselves look even worse

Austins drama was like Marnie and Lewis' romance
Fake and uninteresting, and not worthy of public support.

They never think anything through. It really is weird how these producers make their decisions. Like do they consider the bigger picture at all here when they pull these stunts and realize their choices might work against them?
...A big character is gone just like that. But they could've prevented that from happening. Why not for instance immune the ones that already went thru a public vote and was saved. So people wasted all that money to save Austin, but for what? He was evicted anyway.

I thought last nights eviction of Austin was a disgrace. It was rushed, ill thought out and frankly so, so wrong on many levels. Everyone knows Austin was NOT the dullest Housemate. There are one or two others who deserve that title not least James C and Coleen. To add insult to injury Austin is the only HM I can recall who didn’t even get attention from the rest of the House when he departed and then he got no ‘Best Bits’! SHAMEFUL!
Big Brother must find a way of putting him back in, just as they did with that overindulged Nikki Graham!
Have watched Big Brother since the beginning but am now considering not bothering at all. Sorry Producers but you screwed up BIG TIME! :fist: :fist: :fist:

I think they should have put Austin in a secret room and somehow had a twist where by the end of the weekend, the house or the public could decide if they wanted Austin back in the house in place of one of the 3 new housemates that entered last night or else Austin gone. Lastnight was too rushed and everyone was so confused that it just did not make sense. Even Emma looked confused.

On the one hand, it does serve the producers right for the awful meddling - they should just let things go as they roll, especially when it comes to evictions and nominations.

I think they'll be happy. James C's eviction wouldn't have created such a reaction. See how there is an increase of activity on forums and social media. They are loving it.
Same as on C4... they LOVE publicity, even if it's bad. Mark my words, they secretly enjoyed the ratings boost during the Race Row. Why else would they have let the Jade v Shilpa eviction go ahead?

It's ironic OK as the real bullies have always been out and that is BB - always have been always will be. Some pretty nasty minds on the BB team - all in the name of ratings and profit.

I've never agreed with non-public vote evictions, I've never liked it or enjoyed them. Even when someone I've not liked has gone [Marlon, Lateysha and now Austin]
What I dislike more though is the hypocrism and the throwing the eggs out of the basket for people who were joyed and revelled at Lateysha's eviction but are now fuming and shouting unfair/fix at Austins. You can't have it both ways... [I strongly disliked Lateysha and prefer Austin actually - but why are these people piping up now, rather than earlier [although FB was overun with people complaining about her eviction then, but it's the people now on this forum that have changed]
I'm still not over Danielle BB15's eviction without the public vote.
I always think it's unfair and I'm not happy at all.

I'm with you on this, Kazanne. I loved Austin last time, and although I think he's let himself down this time, he isn't a vile bully.
Yes, his treatment of Stacy hasn't been too sensitive, and I don't understand the dislike of Stacy as I actually find her quite entertaining- even so, I'd prefer Austin to have stayed over those who have contributed little.
Nice as he is, James C isn't bringing very much to the show, and should really have gone. But, having said that, disappointed as I was, there was a real shock factor to Austin leaving last night. However, he is much more of a loss than James C would have been.

I was really saddened that in tonight's HLs after Austin's eviction he wasn't even mentioned by the HMs?! It was as if he'd never existed. Tragic really.

The circumstances were different. For one thing many people just voted to save Austin so it's a bit of a kick in the teeth for him to go so soon after.
I don't really like when the producers mess with the program like this and evict people without the public. Layteshas eviction was a classic bit of game play by another housemate and that was pretty cool/exciting. Although overall I think the public should decide.

Judging by tellymix poll, James C easily topped it. And Austins persona wasnt even remotely comparable to the series he came 2nd in.
