They get people to spend 50p a vote to save Austin
They then "save" Austin
They then override the public vote and evict Austin anyway in the same night
Can nobody see how poor the show's ethics is?
I don't care about Austin and didn't like him as a housemate, but anyone could fall victim to something like this. Seriously people it is time to stop voting.
Epic.

i partially agree on this, it was a public vote of course but Austin wanted to go himself, so it's not like they had to force him to stay, that would've been cruel :(

I agree with that.
Although this week I did vote strongly to save Austin,so am rather annoyed at this awful twist.
You are right though,BB cannot now be trusted in getting people to vote and then as to the outcome.
Having said that,I will be voting all I can to save Jedward now.

I wont be voting anymore, thats for sure, in fact anything that benefits these idiots, they wont get help from me. I am even going to record all future programmes and watch afterwards so they dont get the viewing figure from me.

It's more or less the same as voting on the Xfactor and then the judges booting your fav out, voting in these shows is a pretty pointless exercise as they know who they want as final 2 and edit the show accordingly, I have been banging on about this for years, the final two will always be a money spinner to create a voting rivalry among the fans, Asheigh v Helen, Ricky v Bear, Jason v Hugie, Aaron v Jay, Speidi v Rylan, ..if I can predict this one I would say Speidi v Calum, or James J

If the hm8s knew they were voting to evict Austin would not have gone,it would have been Speidi,Jedward or Stacy

I voted for Speidi because I was worried they would go. Glad they're still there.

Agreed; if they want to go down this route of having a "mix" of public opinion evictions and evictions by other means... then they need to switch to free online voting.
You'd also get a better representation of public opinion, for evictions AND winner, in my opinion... because certain demographics who enjoy watching the show will still NOT pay to vote for anyone. I haven't voted by phone for 10+ years but I would vote on every eviction if it was a free online / app poll

This.
The vote was for the first eviction, nothing else.

If I'd spent money voting to save Austin I would have been livid. They need to think about people who have spent money voting to save when they do things like this.
And I don't like Austin.

I would normally defend something like this (and I still don't have an issue with non public vote evictions as a matter of principle) but it's pretty absurd to have people vote to save a housemate all week, only to then evict them on a whim on the very same night

i've only voted about 5 times in my ten+ years watching this show, and i think most of those were for deana ;flutter:
emma's always saying that there's only like 1% between them and i don't think it would be that close every week if there was a significant number of ppl voting... or maybe that's a lie too to get more votes

BB should have told us what was happening to start with then at least people could have made their minds up on whether to waste money or not.BB was sneaky and greedy.

I thought last nights eviction of Austin was a disgrace. It was rushed, ill thought out and frankly so, so wrong on many levels. Everyone knows Austin was NOT the dullest Housemate. There are one or two others who deserve that title not least James C and Coleen. To add insult to injury Austin is the only HM I can recall who didn’t even get attention from the rest of the House when he departed and then he got no ‘Best Bits’! SHAMEFUL!
Big Brother must find a way of putting him back in, just as they did with that overindulged Nikki Graham!
Have watched Big Brother since the beginning but am now considering not bothering at all. Sorry Producers but you screwed up BIG TIME! :fist: :fist: :fist:

The fact best bits weren't prepared for Austin means he must've had no chance on leaving on the public vote so a lot of people must've voted for him

I'm wondering if they just had no time for the best bits after Jedward and Nicolas argument haha
