Shilpa Shetty has shown she does not bear a grudge about the racist bullying she suffered on British TV by planning a move to the UK.

The Bollywood star, who became a household name after her appearance on Celebrity Big Brother, is splashing out £1.5m on a five-bedroom house in a trendy part of North London, according to The Daily Star.

The house in Hoxton will be her base in the UK as she deals with the flood of work offers that have poured in since enduring Jade Goody's tirades on Celebrity Big Brother.

She has spent most of the last few months in India waiting for the furore over the show to die down.

Now she feels it has and wants to spend more time in London to deal with the offers of work coming in, reports say.

Marks & Spencer, film companies, advertising agencies and a perfume house have all offered her lucrative deals, a source told the paper.

"Shilpa does not want the British public to forget about her," said the insider.

However, many say that Jade should retire and hide away with her children and if she decides to continue and pursue a career as a celebrity, then that is wrong?

They feel that she should lie low for a certain amount of time and rebuild her career slowly. I've never said she should leave the limelight altogether I just feel she trying to fix thing too early. Do you think that my route to recovery is more or less dignified than the media circus that Jade had instigated for herself?

CELEBRITY Big Brother winner Shilpa Shetty is buying a £1.5 million home in the UK.

The Bollywood actress, 31, has decided she needs a base here as she wades through offers for TV, film and advertising deals.

Shilpa is smitten with a luxury five-bed property in the trendy Hoxton area of north London, where stars like fellow CBB winner Chantelle Houghton, 23, and husband Preston, 25, hang out.

She has put in an offer on the house, which includes a secluded west facing garden, three bathrooms and two reception rooms.

After the racist bullying row on the show, Shilpa has been flooded with offers of work.

They include chat shows, film work, book deals and advertising contracts, with the chance to launch her own perfume.

A source said: “Shilpa feels the furore of the racism storm is finally coming to an end and that she can finally spend more time in Britain to pursue her career here.

“Big Brother was always meant to get her the publicity so she could launch a TV career here.

“The press she got was more than she could ever dream of, but it was just the wrong type.”

The insider said Shilpa felt it would be wrong to cash in on the row with gobby Jade Goody, 25, and her pals. The actress has been in India since, except for a few engagements here.

But the source added: “Shilpa now believes enough time has passed for all that to have died down, but does not want to leave it so long the British public forget about her.”

The source added it was also important for Shilpa to move to a multi-
ethnic area.

He said: “Shilpa has put in a very good offer on the house. It is a superb property but she has not forgotten her roots.

“It is right in the heart of one of the most multi-ethnic areas of London.

“She has loved spending time in Britain and can’t wait to come back.”

Many Jade fans don't exist on this forum.

It is not many, it is the word, "few" you are looking for.

Jade may try to fix things earlier, it is her right too.

Shilpa Shetty is now moving to London and she is going to have a great time here.

I doubt very much that she is likely to receive hardly any hostility.

Naturally, people will bring up CBB Jan. and probably say that she did well on the show and that they were glad that she won. This is only a fair comment, as she came over very nice in the footage that the editors chose to show.

The reason that many celebrities move to London, is, that London is where it's all happening.

I know what London is like, as I know the place very well.

Shilpa can pop in and see the Queen & Tony Blair much easier now, as they will be virtually on her doorstep. (Pardon the pun)

She is very, very wealthy and I am sure that as the saying goes, "The rich get richer & the poor get poorer". So there is no doubt in anyone's mind, which way Shilpa is heading.

I think you mis-understand me once again.

I said that Shilpa Shetty came over very well on the CBB show, which is edited down from 24 hours down to 1 hour, or even less.

What the Endemol editors chose to include of Shilpa Shetty, looked very good indeed.

As this is all I have seen of her on this reality show, that is why I always say that comment.

It is a fair statement to make.

You don't like Jade, Danielle or Jo and that is fine for you, but not so fine for others. It's as simple as A B C
