Why does my avatar always come out all pixelated?

120kb(?) is the limit so you have to optimise it below that or else the forum will make it below 10kb automatically from what I'm aware of

Is your connection bad? I've noticed that when I have a weak connection my avatar looks poorer quality than normal

Upload it to another site instead of uploading it directly to TiBB (imgur) and use the link option
