View Full Version : Did Austin getting evicted do anything to the series?

I think not, not because i dislike the guy, it's because i feel the newbies have overshadowed the eviction and it's like nothing happened. So to me the twist didn't backfire on the producers.

he must have been dull then :smug:

Not at all, which is rather surprising given he caused so much drama. I think it would have been felt a bit more without the newbies though. Kim seems to have taken Austins place in creating arguments about nothing.

Yeah the drama continued on, even escalated since he left so his absence wasn't felt at all
I didn't like him, but I think there would have been massive explosions between him and Kim.

and with Jasmine gone, it wouldn't make a difference, unless they are desperate for a showmance storyline. the only possibility of that is Jamie and Bianca. no one will go for Chloe and Jessica is already in a relationship

Oh Jessica is in a relationship? I thought Callum might chance his arm there

As Jet said, there would have been massive problems between Kim and Austin. They would've rubbed each other up the wrong way and we were robbed of witnessing that.
I can't wait to see how Kim and Coleen get on.

He was just a constant negative energy. He wasn't needed. He won't be missed. Literally everybody can take on his role by frowning or arguing over nonsense. Tragic. He could have won it if he was similar to how he was the first time round. Nobody would have voted him boring either.

Not needed though. Him clashing with at least ten of the other housemates was boring enough, and others have clashes with Kim anyway.

No if anything I think the series has been improved by his eviction + the newbies going in

My interpretation of it was that while he caused drama, he wasn't "integral" in any way to the House dynamics - he wasn't great friends with anyone, so he didn't leave a friend shaped hole in their lives, nor was he overly in conflict with anyone, despite the odd argument. He was just an occasional irritant, and it's no different to if a wasp which had been hanging around finally found its way out (Y)

Yes, in a good way. We saw some new frictions with the James J, Jamie, Calum tension last night rather than a boring continuation of "Austin vs ____". Him leaving plus the newbies (Kim particularly) has made the series more exciting and unpredictable imo.

Austin like him or not was saved by the public ....then the producers had a task and he was out an hour later .We have another task (Sunday )resulting in another Hms being evicted ...why bother with nominations anymore as they mean nothing .

Queen Kim came to save the show that was dying with Austin at the helm.

IA with it improving. Not really because he (or Angie) went but more because of the newbies that entered on Friday. Like Lostie said, it's opened up some new dynamics and storylines whereas before it was pretty much just another round of Austin vs. Speidi/Stacy.
Kim is already providing :clap1:

Didn't care he went in, didn't care he was in and didn't care he got evicted, I don't think he added much to the show, don't think many of them do
