Though I felt Coleen might have been pushing him to lose his rag, she won't want to come 2nd twice :omgno:

What a great old guy he is.

Good for him that he turned his life around, I don't think it should be used against him just because he made a flippant comment that likely had no meaning behind it. I don't think he was being serious at all when he said it.

You don't think James Whale might have had a chat with him about it? Any serious actor reads the script and researchs, unless you are saying he saw pound signs and went solely for the cash, what a great winner he would be :idc:

You might be right but he did say that he was more likely to do it outside of the house, which was odd if violence is in his past.

I still doubt a casual viewer who watched a few episodes would have fully digested what was going on and has gone into this with a game plan. A few episodes and and some advice could have never prepared him for what he's experienced these past few weeks

He's friends with a previous housemate. Im pretty sure he will have had a few conversations with James about the show and Cherie makes a very interesting point - as an actor surely im confident he does his research - he knew Speidi were popular last time as he called them the houses biggest threat.

Yes but how can you prepare for something like this when hes probably never experienced being in an enviroment like this and with these types of people? You couldn't make up some of the stuff which has happened this series. Labeling people game players is overused now. I usually credit people when they play the game but apart from that vote he gave Speidi which was a spare of the moment vote he's not really done anything to suggest hes one.

I disagree.
I think he's done his research and knows the public rallied behind an over-the-top wind up last CBB in Bear and he knows they were popular last time, he's said as much by proclaiming them the house threat. If he's never seen the show before as you say how did he know Heidi and Spencer when he saw them on launch? A big fan of The Hills?
I also don't believe his eternal nomination was an accident. He knew Jedward were popular so that would have been a wasted vote and Kim got massive boos.

They pretty much all knew who was who, most of them were leaked days before the launch and if thats how he found out who they were then i'd call that being curious otherwise they might as well all be game players. And the whole thing about Speidi being his biggest threat, they're always banging on about being game players and at the start of the series Cosmo was told on a few occasions what those two are all about when housemates were getting to know each other.

I think that's important though. He's 68 and whatever happened in his past (we don't really know what he's referring to or how bad he was), he's moved on from it and has been able to better himself and that shows massive strength of character. Too many people stay on the wrong path and spiral downwards, but I do think people can reform. So it's not judging him on who he is now, whereas with Spencer, people are judging him on who he is now, so it's a very different comparison (although personally I love Spencer and his comments about James didn't offend me). It'd be different if I thought James was actually threatening them or being serious but it didn't come across like he was to me.

I get where you're coming from but I honestly don't think it's that deep.
Sure, there's no doubt he probably did his research before going on the show, and what with celebrities knowing who else is going in the house before it has actually begun, I would imagine he looked back specifically at the all-star's series.
Touching on what Drew said, James would have went into the house knowing he would have to play the game at some point, but I don't think he had an out and out game plan. If he did, then he has played an absolute blinder, as the only time he has actually showed signs of game playing was the other night when he gave Speidi the eternal nomination.
Also, an important thing to take notice of is that he has only ever 'played the game' when put in a situation that requires him to. Never have you seen him go to the diary room and tell BB he's going to this or going to do that. Him and Jason from BB17 are very similar housemates IMO.

What I took from last night is, he is biting his tongue and playing the game,
Outside the house he would be putting people in their place but does not want to show that side of his personality in the house.
Our we seeing the real James c or him acting, I think ts an act, could he of stoped some of the confrontations by stepping in as the house dad?, yes he could but that would mean having an opinion.

Definately!!!

The Scotts like this sort of thing as they are embarrassed about their history with England. They like to pretend we re scared of them. :hee:
That's a rather sweeping statement

You piece of **** you
I know I can't believe that NM is on here threatening to decapitate people who have been nothing but respectful to him. It's really sad to see someone who is such a nice person and a wise poster acting like SUCH A LITTLE BITCH!

I do think James C is a boring hm and he's not really suited to BB and i know he's an actor but I don't think he's acting in there.I'm maybe naive but I think he's probably a bloke who's had a not whiter than white past.Got into a few pub brawls and possibly had a short temper but has made a conscious effort to be a better man after realising that it's a nicer way to live. He's probably worked on his anger in the past and wants to be a good family man now.

I find it hilarious that some people liked him until he nominated Spiedi , now he is being called all sorts when he is the same guy they liked before:joker: who has he called names ? and he certainly hasn't called anyone a piece of ****.
I liked him from the start, but I liked him even more after he nominated Speidi.:dance:

He wants to win. He knows that if he answers back he will lose and he can't have that.

Yes, but when you're playing the game you need to be honest about it. He pretends it's all new to him, but i think that's not true. He's friends with James Whale and he would have told him all about the show.

There is a difference between hearing about the show and actually being in it though,Spiedi know it warts and all,I doubt very much James does, whatever he has been told(we don't know that for sure) but whatever, would not be the same as actually living there.

He was in BOTs in the summer as he is friends with James Whale, I very much doubt he went in without doing his research
Exactly! Cosmo knows exactly what he is doing. He feigns ignorance but I don't buy it. If he wins what will he have contributed apart from constantly smoking?

He's contributed one of the best melt downs on here due to his nomination of Speidi,(much like the lovely Jason did last year)plus he's woke the sleepy heads up,you'de think Spiedi fans would at least be grateful for that:hehe:

James and Coleen are starting to piss me off. All they do is sit in the smoking area and bitch about Spencer. Coleen even trying to get James to fight Spencer :nono: They're both very judgimental and misery guts, always moaning. Did they think they were going to some kind of holiday camp?:fist:
Hes only been married 16 yrs so he was a nasty bloke a lot longer than this so called saint we are watching.
He was violent, wouldnt surprise me if it was with women as well as men.

I rest my case
You forgot this bit..
His convo with Coleen suggests otherwise.
Judging by tonight's show Coleen has concerns too.
