You Are 44% Shy

Although you live a pretty normal life, you tend to be a fairly shy person.
Many situations make you feel uncomfortable, and you sometimes find your shyness hindering your life.

You are a very shy person, and it has started to impact your life in a negative way.
If you can avoid human contact, you usually do. And as a result, you miss out on a lot.

You dread difficult social situations, but you still handle them with grace.

You aren't shy at all, in fact, you're probably quite outgoing.
You are comfortable in almost any social situation, no matter how difficult.

One of the thing I answered yes to is that people often say I'm shy, but I'm clearly not.

To be honest I could have left all of those boxes clear and felt quite happy with my answers. I speak publicly at work at least once a week and that alone conquers shyness.

Haha Girth, I'm quite shy.

I do public speaking a LOT though because I'm part of a conferencing team.

The thing that mainly makes me shy is that in a big group of people I have nothing to say cos I end up sounding like a gonk, LOL.

Edit: I got 44% the second time I did it. I'm a mess. LOL.

People are just shy in certain situations, that's all. I don't think it's a measure of their personality it all. For some it might just simply take them time to open up.

Why would I sound like a gonk?

Cos I have a lame sense of humour... and don't refrain from showing it?

I think I'm just being pessimistic thought, I'm a lot more confident than I think (Ooh oxymoron?)

Haha, thanks. Most of my humour is also centered around insulting people, but that makes me sound like a conniving bitch  Haha.

Well anyway, the quiz was a sham, LOL (just cos I say it is ). I wouldn't call myself shy - I'm just closed around new people. I do theatre and conferences so I can't be that bad.

It's just school that I'm really quiet in though, maybe it's because I hate it so much. When i'm with my friends.. ohh i'm quite different, i feel much more confident. You are a very shy person, and it has started to impact your life in a negative way.
If you can avoid human contact, you usually do. And as a result, you miss out on a lot.

How Shy Are You?

Yeah same here Ash, I can do that test two different days and have 2 completely different results. Yeah Reet!!!!

You know when i'm out in town and that, I get really paranoid when people look at me. Would that be shyness or not?

Not necessarily, if people look at me when I go out, I just smile. If they stare at me, I generally stare back until they look away.

More self-conscious than shy.
I think the two are separate.

Self-consciousness.

But I usually just ignore it.

I hate it when people do that. I turn it into a competition and stare back and see who looks away first. It's usually/mostly/always me who wins, i'm very competitive.

You Are 4% Shy

You aren't shy at all, in fact, you're probably quite outgoing.
You are comfortable in almost any social situation, no matter how difficult.

You are slightly shy, but overall, your reactions to social situations are normal.
You dread difficult social situations, but you still handle them with grace.
