I can guarantee meltdowns and cries of sexism and 'Scum' in here if he'd said that. However it's only cute loveable Jedward so it's ok?

She has said many really nasty things to Jedward all through.
She got a bit back that's all.

I somehow don't believe you'd agree with a sexist comment if it didn't come from your favourite housemate. Unless you would?

I said, if you bother to read posts properly.
If someone had said it in response to someone being as rotten.and nasty as Nicola has been to them, then yes.

I read the post fine. However I thought you'd be better than to truly agree with sexist remarks regardless of the situation, I guess not.

If someone such as Nicola has been, was as nasty and vile as she has, frankly any respect for such a person could rightly.in my view,go out the window
I would not agree generally,I however see little to respect in Nicola at all.
Respect needs to be.earned a little too,not just be expected come what may.

I know you are not asking me this but if i may-i didnt like the comment and jedward are my favourite housemates. However I have learnt not to complain about it on here because there is a huge ruckus ex: "oh you are being touchy/over reacting etc" hense my "damned if you do damned if you dont" comment, i just feel like no matter what you say on here in regards to sexism/racism as a WOC i'm going to get berated so personally i just keep my mouth shut on those things(thats not to say i dont support others saying their piece.)
My fav housemates are jedward and kim however that doesnt mean i have agreed with everything they say far from it, wrong is wrong no matter who's mouth it comes out, even when its your fav so i agree with you there. But on a similar note:
Jamie is humourless and would never say this as a joke
^^^^
I think this is a reason that people are justifying it coming from jedward and not jamie. And the context-if jamie said it it could just come across as having a go, from context it came across as jedward having a joke not meaning anything severe by it however again i personally dont agree with it, but everyone has their take on it.

Do not let people make you feel this way, your opinion is as valid as everyone else's, I never, ever, ever run with the crowd, i have my favs and dislikes and speak my mind on both, I don't give a flying one who likes or dislikes what I say and neither should you

No because he would almost certainly say it aggressively and without a hint of humor. That's what makes the difference... not "who" says something, but the general demeanor of the person who says it.

In show business there is an expression all publicity is good publicity.
So if it shows those who profess to hate them are watching them, and even raising them on a public forum as to almost every little thing they are doing and saying.
That's a likely positive really for Jedward and lets TV producers see that they get response when on TV.

Would it ****, this forum and general social media would go into 'sexist scum!' mode immediately, it's only because it's 'cute' and 'harmless' Jedward that they seem to be getting away with it.

It isn't the first time they've made these type of comments to Nicola either. They asked her if it was "that time of the month?" during the superhero task too.

Disgusting that sexist comments are being glossed over and ignored because of who's saying them to who.

Is it controversial / sexist to point out that it IS actually a thing, though? Like... it just is. I've been in the same relationship for 129 months and I can tell you for a straight up fact that if things get REALLY cray and there's no identifiable circumstances... ... ... ... 48 hours max..
I know you're not "supposed to say it" but hormones exist, they are a real thing, and they have a very real effect on mood.

It is true but it is annoying when men say it too  But I have little sympathy for Nicola because she's so horrible to Jedward It's nothing compared to the hormone explosions while pregnant though although I used to cry more rather than bite someones head off then. I remember I cried because I lost a game of cards one time while i was pregnant

I'd say a joke about tampons when Nicola is being patronising and angry is totally fair game in the context of a show which is designed to create as much upset and controversy for HMs as possible.
Think about it: Tasks are designed to cause upset, so are the outside tweets, public opinion polls, nom reveals, even the choice of HMs (such as putting Kim in on a 'mission' - all designed to cause as a massive stir
The silly jokes of Jedward, Biggins etc are nothing compared to the actual intended upset created by BB on a daily basis

And in this post lies the answer, it's only okay to make sexist comments to certain people, I find that quite sad, that people gloss over offensive things because they're directed at people they don't like, anyone can say anything they want to Nicola because she's not a favourite, but heaven forbid someone say anything to anyone else, shame.
Do women still take offence at stuff like this in this day and age...blimey!

Of course she had been,it was when the stupid woman,no other housemate/s, only herself came screaming to the bedroom door putting the light on then lyng it was them.
They just managed to get their voice over hers in the end.
Quite an achievement in itself that to get heard over that miserable loudmouth.
I'm just mad they chose to let her off being nominated for eviction, when they could have added to her misery by nominating her.
I for sure would have.

No, she has a go at people that start with her or get on her tits, Jedward knew full well what they were doing, they were purposely being loud and were heading for the bedroom to wake everyone up, they're not some sort of defenseless little angels, no matter which way people try to spin it.

I don't know what all the hype is about. Women menustrate every month. Sometimes it makes some women go a bit OTT. Why not ask if that is the problem? I'm not saying this because Jedward said it, I still am not really liking those two, although they are an improvement on their earlier CBB experience.

If they'd said it to wind her up like 'aww is it your time of the month or something', I could understand it'd be a wind up. But to make a comment under your breath like 'I'll get your a tampon' was, I thought, actually a bit funny... even she didn't react.
