It wasn't VTE so... frankly... yes. I don't think many people in the UK have a clue who Stacy is and, also, Scientology is creepy AF. I think those factors have much more to do with her leaving than skin colour. I dislike Nicola but......

It is true though that black women get called aggressive much faster than a white woman would even if she's more so like in this case imo anyway

Are you saying, the Big brother fans, who actually vote, are racist?

If you thought that, then why wouldn't you boycott the show?

I cant see and have never seen racism and I wouldnt even start a thread about it but for what its worth Nicola is well known in the UK very very few people knew Stacy I had seen her on American X factor but if she had passed me on the street I wouldnt know it. Yes Nicola is a bitch but Stacy was aggressive and in peoples faces and WOULDNT LET ANYTHING GO. She couldnt get her head around the fact that new housemates are STILL HOUSEMATES

yeah, but they just don't know it yet.

just look at past evictions and reactions etc etc to all the bolshy black women in bb history..it's as clear as day to me that fiesty black women get frowned upon by the public whilst the same fiesty white women are somewhat applauded by the same bunch of people....it's in some peoples genes to see the colour first and make a judgement on that rather than the person...evictions, popularity polls etc etc etc in the past prove this to me without any doubt whatsoever.

It's hard to not notice that black women, more often than not, get a rough deal on BB.

I don't think Nicola would have survived the vote if she was black and Stacy would have likely stayed if she was white.

FFS I can't believe this thread. If you look at the recent black women who have been evicted, they are often quite similar, and American and fairly unknown here (in BB - not in life, before someone lynches me lol). Anyone who happens to be black (or other) and happens to be nice have done well generally. tbh I think there's a lot of people who would love to see Nicola up for eviction and gone! We've just not really had a chance, especially with VTS.

Why do they get all the stereotypes its not fair.

Quick question though, if i or any fm were to syereotype geordie lasses or scots etc would that receive an infraction?

Really!...what about civilian bb when the hms are unknown and dont already have a following...then go to wikipedia and compare how many stayed over a white chick when it was one on one...dont come back and say makosi did either cause it eas just her amazing amazon booty that kept her in.

Depends on the context I guess, if it was really insulting then yeah but if it was something like Oh you're Irish you must like Potatoes then no (mostly cos that's true :fan: )

Was thinking more in the way of Brian Belo who I certainly didn't know before BB, and Shilpa who came across as lovely, and there was Darren (BB1) and Alison (daytime telly). tbh, I don't notice or care about colour, I care about if I like them! If they were sky blue pink with red spots, it wouldn't change my opinion. Makosi was a nightmare!

I'd disagree. I think the most recent ones that have done well (only Gina and Tiffany spring to mind) still fell victim to the 'Angry Black Woman' edit at points before the producers changed the narrative for them.

Plus you've got HMs like Allison who weren't victims of editing but were still evicted early anyway despite being a lovely HM that really raise questions.

tbf, Alison didn't actually come across so well in the house from what I remember. I think she was a bit bossy or moody, I forget. I definitely know she wasn't a fave of mine. I think I liked Audley. He came second. And I loved Derek from the early ones! There are never as many black people as white in there, and most white people don't do so great either lol! I really think people overthink it when it comes to colour. The day when nobody notices or cares what colour people are is the day we're all equal.

It's black women that seem to get the worst deal though rather than black men on TV etc

It is down to the black women they cast not the public they usually cast nasty vile ones and the odd time they let a Tiffany or Gina slip through

I think it's a mix of both.

BB, more often the not, only tend to cast black women that can be edited as the ABW stereotype and the public for typically not supporting black females in general regardless.

She's second fave to win (I think) but I was more speaking about online forums/social media etc.

True but she probs would've gone in VTS as well, my point is that Natalie was almost universally hated whilst Kim had plenty of adorers

I think it because Natalie argued from the off and people waned the light stuff where with Kim she came in half way and revitalised the series

I have just had a look on wikipedia and got up to bb3.

Very interesting as everytime a hm who wasnt white was up for eviction they went..the ones who made the final were out first apart from dean who was beaten by elizabeth she got 2% he got 5%...cant be bothered to go through the rest of them but i cant see it being much different.
