from bbc.co.uk
Jade Goody's boyfriend has been banned from driving for a year and fined. The learner driver admitted drink-driving, driving with no insurance and driving without supervision. He told police he was on his way home after Jade locked herself out.

Drink Drivers should get a lifetime ban
he thinks he's famous, he thinks he can get away with it.
He actually thought the pig faced slapper locking herself out of her house was reason to do it ?
Could these people be any more conceited ?
:cloud::mad:
Once we get rid of this pathetic cult of celebrity, the better.
The light at the end of the tunnel though, is that wastes of skin and oxygen like him and his pig faced racist "girlfriend" are helping to bring about its end. Hoo-ray
Oh, I also think the drink drive limit should be ZERO

Jack Tweed appears as though he has done a stupid thing?
If the story is true? As it may be so.
I am also aware that sometimes it is easy to a have a drink or two and be over the limit.
I had a half a cider, late last year and drove afterwards. I was well aware that I would be under the limit, but, unluckily I was stopped by the police.
They breathalised me and of course, I was under.
But, the police told me, that it is better not to drink at all and every person is different! Some people can have a pint of cider and have a similar reading as someone who has a half.
Like the officer said, it is better not to drink & drive at all.

I didn't see in the posted story, that Jack Tweed tried to get away with it by being famous?
I would assume from the story, that Jack told the police that reason, as it was true.
Lying to the police is never a good idea.

Lying to the police is never a good idea but lets face it people do and will lie to them to get the best possible outcome for themselves.
I always feel quite angry when I hear about drink driving, why people feel the need to endanger the lives of other people is beyond me!
I do think that the laws around drink driving need a thorough review and sentences increased to suit the offence.

I remember watching the news recently, and this topic about drinking an driving was brought up again.
The government are going to change the law, whereby the current amount of alcohol which can be consumed while driving, will be reduced!
Drink-drivers will have to reduce "a pint", to maybe "a half"

If the story is true?
The learner driver admitted drink-driving, driving with no insurance and driving without supervision.
What is there to question?

If a video was shown of Jade and the plank boiling orphans alive some people would question it,
"orphans get dirty and need a good clean - dontcha know, and they like having red peeling skin - it helps maintain the pores."
He should be banned from driving for life, as should all drink drivers.
No question

I say that, Jack Tweed appears as though he has done a stupid thing.
If the story is true?
At this stage, there is not much evidence to corroborate this story.
A link to this article would be handy, just to be sure?

If The learner driver admitted drink-driving, driving with no insurance and driving without supervision.
Then, it would sound that Jack Tweed was very much in the wrong and if this was the case, then, the police will follow protocol and enforce the law as it is layed out.
What critisism there is about drinking & driving over the limit is naturally there.
But, this problem is very similar to other crimes which get commited and the end result hardly matches the crime made.
The police have their hands tied and have to accept what the courts deem a fair punishment to fit the crime!

I notice a comment about Orphans and red peeling skin.
I am at a loss to understand that and I am sure I am not alone on this query.
Care to elaborate?

The comment obout orphans, and the intent in the writing is clearly understandable to those able to comprehend a simple statement in English

I accept a strange intent, plus, a strange wording.

I shall observe a link to the exact article and comment on details which are very vague at this point.
But what has been said already on this topic, certainly points to Driver's who are over the limit and choose to drive anyway, as criminals who should be banned and perhaps be fined higher or other similar, stiffer penalties issued.
My views are within the topic.

TWEED'S DRIVE BAN
By Aidan Mcgurran 31/03/2007
CELEBRITY Big Brother loser Jack Tweed has been banned from driving after going to help girlfriend Jade Goody while over the limit.
Learner Tweed, 19, claimed he drove the BMW for just 30 seconds after Goody was upset at locking herself out of her £500,000 home.
The celebrity BB contestant was at a party with friends and had drunk four beers before she called.
Police were then called to a disturbance in Harlow, Essex. Katy Appleton, prosecuting, said: "The BMW was in the road blocking her Range Rover.
"Both had breath tests and Jack failed."
Tweed admitted to police he knew he was over the limit, had no insurance and only a provisional licence.
He was fined £1,100 at Chelmsford court and banned for a year.

Jack received £1,100 fine and a years ban!
Driving while over-the-limit
No insurance
Only a learner driver.
That is 3 reasons why he got the £1,100 fine.

Jack will pay it and the lovely Jade Goody will sort out transportation for the year ahead and any costs.
