James Cosmo was so boring throughout the series. He was either asleep and half asleep. He did not participate in anything. He did not have any opinions. I sided with mean clique with everything without knowing any facts. He never did the right thing and always sat on the fence. He brought absolutely nothing to the show. He simply did not belong in the house or in the show. He definitely doesn't deserve to win!

He's learned a lot though :cheer2:
I agree he has brought nothing apart from a supercilious attitude towards most of his fellow hms, the said thing is he will probably win...although he does seem to be losing some support, depends on how he is edited in these last few days I guess

it's a good job we don't all share that opinion. The few times we have seen him enjoying himself, doing those secret tasks and having civil conversations with others about his life or whatever have been nice to watch
Not everyone has to constantly judge people, be argumentative and have opinions on everyone & everything and the way Big Brother has become, the way they go about their tasks and editing now fools the viewers into thinking those types of housemates are the only acceptable ones now.

Well said Drew. I simply don't think he likes controversy..he genuinely enjoyed the simple things in the show like secret tasks etc...his just a lovely 'grandad' figure. I'm so glad he had Coleen in there to help him keep his sanity...and out of all that are left I would happily see him win.

If arguments are petty, then sitting on the fence is the only rational place to be. There is genuinely no point jumping off the fence for the sake of a petty argument, you wouldnt do it in real life, only airtime hogs do it in BB. Maybe its also something to do with temperament, a lot of people (particularly the all stars) were brought in for their unnaturally short fuse. James was brought in because of his credible celeb status.
A normal person just wouldnt start an argument over spare water bottles being taken to bed, or someone taking your clothes out the washer - a normal person definitely would never join in the debate for the sake of not sitting on the fence! It does not make you boring, it makes others weird.

Sorry you think everyone has to run around getting in pointless arguments and making out with people they've known for 2 weeks I guess.

That's the beauty of the show isn't it? people having different opinions about housemates, I don't think anyone is fooled into anything, we all know there is an edit that can be manipulated, so you could just as easily say James fans are being fooled into thinking he is a lovely old guy, personally I find him a bit up himself.

Would you have watched Coleen and James smoking for 4 weeks with nothing else going on
He's so boring and it seems as though he's acting up to the cameras to get airtime following the court task..

I don't think anyone would watch a series with only two housemates in it.
Agree with everything in the OP :clap1:

I agree, the things we have seen of him have been really good, and I think it's more that the show prefers to show conflicts over other normal conversation type things which is why we've seen less of him than other people. He's just not the kind of character that would dominate a highlights show, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have a character or is 'doing nothing'. I saw some of Bots yesterday and I thought Emma put it really well when she said you need people like him because you need light and shade and it's true, if everyone was running around shouting all the time then that would be tediously boring imo (in the same way that if everyone was like James it would also be boring), but one thing this series has been really good for is it's diversity in the cast and James' presence has added to that a lot.

My point went right over your head, I won't bother to explain

Quit your whining. For me he has bring so much more. F one trick pony Jedward and vile, demented, vulgar Kim.

Not sure you ever have one, really, Cherie, you seem to just love arguing. Perhaps audition, we wouldn't have these threads about you.

not everyone needs to run around like fake headless chickens screaming obscenities at everyone whilst trying to shag anything that possesses mammary glands or a phallic appendage during the wee small hours that people like sleep leaving a disgusting trail of litter and mycobacteria behind them whilst re enacting scenes from war and peace to gain votes.
some people just like honesty, normality and no drama

He brought sanity to the house. It's not exciting or entertaining, it's quite boring, really, but it is needed.
He's not my pick to win, but if he did I wouldn't mind at all.
