People will probably object to this but we NEED the BBUSA/CAN format
I'd actually love to see it done over here if it was done properly
But Channel 5 literally only runs it for the voting money so it's unlikely :/

BBUS format would be absolutely trash and that's that!

...we had one of the best (and if not best, then bat**** craziest and bat**** craziness is one of my favourite things about this show) boot orders ever this series and this is your complaint?

...But Kim would have been an early boot instead of 3rd?

It starts well and then every recent series is ruined by the damn ending

I've not seen BBUS but I'd LOVE them to at least trial the BBCAN format to see if it works

I feel like this something that could get me banned from TiBB but...

what is the BBCan format

A mix of both (mostly USA) public votes to give their faves powers

Thank you, I'm glad more people are realising this

If only more people like Bear/Helen won and then people would probably agree

They all might have played differently though so I don't think that necessarily would have been the case. They might have picked off threats instead if it was more of a 'game' format, instead of the type of people they nominate under this format.

Like what would hurt about trying it in a spin off instead of the 2nd CBB series a year or something
That way the people who would be like ew no would get the format they want but also be able to try a new one

aka "if only the public voted for worse people so we could have an excuse to get rid of it"

*people who contribute to the series more, but yes that too

(I'd still be in favour of a format change, btw)

We don't need the BBUSA format. You're suggesting getting rid of the entire public input. People currently scream for more input from us and we need that to keep this show alive. Big Brother's original format isn't what is used in the USA and we need to keep what we've got. Changing the format so far into the show's run now would kill it straight out.

I think it would work better with civilian housemates though tbh, celebrities might be less inclined to be seen as gameplaying and being unpopular with the viewers for it, with it being a format we're not used to. There's not as much of an incentive for celebrities to win too as they get paid regardless, whereas there is for civilians.

Here for Channel 4 picking up the USA format under a different name

The Canada format has plenty of input though

That's what I mean- instead of a 2nd celebrity one a civilian one with the BBUS format and if it's successful perhaps a celebrity version would work

A mixture of both formats would be good for the sake of entertainment and changing it up a bit, but getting rid of the public vote would be awful. I know the public makes a lot of bad decisions in terms of evictions and winners but if the housemates chose who left it would be even worse. Do you really think Kim and Jedward would have made the final in a BBUS format? NO. Of course not

Oh yeah I see what you meant now :shame: I agree, a celebrity one could definitely work once the format has been established and people are used to it.

I think that's why it would be good to trial it though, because we don't really know. They could play differently, the housemates might chose who to evict based on reasons other than who they like and dislike, and if it turns out that the entertaining HM's do get evicted first then they could just call it a failed experiment and go back to normal. There's no harm in at least seeing what would happen imo.

I mean... like what? Sure, they used to have a lot of public input, but nowadays it's "vote for two wildcards (but you can only vote for a man and a woman)" or "choose somebody who could potentially be HoH based on the arbitrary spin of a wheel"

At least with BBUS the public get to give somebody money

And Survivor got the viewers to choose an entire cast (not that it turned out well but still)

I actually think the US format during a celebrity series would be hysterical, the thought of Kim winning a Q&A HoH and calling Nicola and Speidi chicken livered ****s as she puts them on the block <3

Many people always say the US format works best when people play personally or indeed don't understand the game, CBB would be that all over

I don't think the public would be here for it. There's always people complaining when they do an eviction without a public vote so I don't think they would like a full series of it

Never watched Can/US but I'm under the impression that it's dangerous, ganghanded awful housemates. BB15 and BB13 would be ruled by the insiders/cool kids. :yuck:

Liam-

BB13 was awful as it was, but imagine how even more tragic it would have been under USA rules, Conor, Luke S, Aaron, Ashleigh and Caroline would have been the top 5, no-one needs that.

not sure how they do it in usa - but it has to be better then the way we do it - our way is dyer.

They all accused Kim of game playing so I think she still would have been an early boot.
