so I've literally just finished watching the finale & the run of awful winners continues it seems!

I knew as soon as James was out at Kim would follow, so I accepted it and expected Jedward to (deservedly) win.. but seconds before, I had a feeling in my gut that she'd snatch it and sadly a very good series gets rounded off by a winner who literally did nothing but sit in the smoking area, moan (yet, like in CBB10 confront nobody aside from that one time with Kim 2 days ago) and sail through to the end

watching her on the screen during Jedward's interview searching for used fag butts on the floor was honestly sickening

I honestly don't know what is wrong with the British public and why they are voting for terrible people. it would be nice to have a decent big brother winner once or twice a year (we didn't have none at all last year(uk wise) and i'm feeling it will continue this year) I rather the public wasn't involved anymore :laugh:

It doesn't change 'completely', but it is diminished slightly. I cba explaining this again anyway so I'll just copy my response to Marsh

I put a lot of weight on the winners of reality shows, I wish I didn't but I do. I feel like I've wasted weeks/months of my life investing in a show if some ****ing irrelevance only goes and wins it :shrug: in much the same way that someone may feel cheated if the last ever episode of a drama they enjoy doesn't end the way they like, it works exactly the same. Yes in part it's about the 'journey', but I still think the winner can to an extent make or break a series

The BB6 example isn't as useful because Anthony actually was a fairly big part of the series, if a MOTR housemate wins (i.e. Pete, Brian B, Jason) I'll be disappointed but I can deal with it, whereas if someone like Sam Evans wins, my thoughts on the series take a huge tumble. I'd easily put BB15 above BB14 for example, whereas if Dexter or Gina had won it might not be so clear cut

usually i'm disappointed when a boring or nasty housemate wins (which is basically every series now?) but coleen was so totally irrelevant, as in literally not visible for the entire season, that i found it kinda funny this time? :shrug:

even sam evans perked up a bit in the final week

Yeah awful winner... but at this point in the future I'm just gonna watch for the series. The winners awful most of the time, so i've accepted that. I will watch just for a pass time as the people who vote never seem to be on my wavelength.

Coleen was an anti - nasty (Kim and Nicola) , anti - arrogant (Jedward) , anti - no storyline (James C), anti - cheating on your BF and no fanbase (Bianca) vote.
It's not that surprising. I'm no Coleen fan, god forbid, but I was rooting for her or James C. He just didn't get shown because Jedward/Kim/Nicola hogged the airtime and the producers haven't the sense to give us some real conversations in case we switch off if there isn't continuous aggro or slurping noises from behind the toilet door.

Coleen was nice, but the safest winner. Jedward or Kim should have won it. I would have liked Nicola to have won it over Coleen. Ugh.

I think the public vote should close once the time comes to bring out the 6th placed housemates.
That is the real result so none of freezing and re-opening the lines all through.

It may or may not change results but would be the full decision made over 4/5 days, rather than possibly altered in an hour and a half of extra voting as housemates dwindle in number.

I agree with this, not because of I dislike the result but it's highly possible Coleen picked up support from James C and Nicola fans after they were both evicted.

I stopped watching CBB ENTIRELY when Speidi left. And Bianca 'got more votes' to stay than they did. Not possible.
