Hello forum,
My eldest has surprised me and my wife with two tickets to see Dream Girls the theatre show on West End in the savoy theatre in London. We haven't seen a show in years so we are over the moon! It was a joint present for both our birthdays.
We love the music of motown - especially Diana Ross and the supremes. There is Amber Riley starring in it - the judge off Gary Barlow's new show .
I'm so excited and thought I'd share the news! We will be heading to London tomorrow and be away until Sunday as we are making it a mini trip. Staying in Victoria.
Is anyone else seeing any shows? Or do you have any past stories of going to see a show?

she truly is talented, also from Glee as Mercedes, who frequently there had a diva off with Lea Michele's character Rachel Berry :hee:

What a fab gift for you and your wife. I love to go see musical theatre. I've seen phantom of the opera 4 times and blood brothers 3 times!! Never tire of those shows. I've also seen Cats, Rocky Horror Show, Chicago and thoroughly enjoyed ever show apart from Cats. I didn't enjoy Cats because I took someones place as they were were ill and the tickets were up in the Gods and I was going dizzy having panic attacks with being so high LOL. I'd love to see Jersey Boys, but then again, I'd love to see them all. Enjoy your show and let us know when you've been.

hi everyone
Just a quick message. Loved the show the singing was world class. Amber riley was truly magnificent she gave the great jennifer Hudson a run for her money . We had second row tickets in the dress circle so very good seats. They were all good singers and dancers. Bought Margaret my wife ice cream at the interval and a programme it was really a lovely evening.
We had food at a diner across the road just before - got the lemonades for free too!
Weather is cold in London - snowing! Haven't seen snow in years. Not too bad to travel home though .
Had such a good time and wanted to share it . Back in the wet Welsh capital tomorrow morning - will do some sight seeing today we think.
Have a great weekend forum , R.
